When the nurse came out and saw Mr. Gomez asleep and Mrs. Gomez pacing.
The nurse said " Um.. Mr. and Mrs. Gomez?" Marissa looked up and saw the nurse and said " How's Rosa? Is she okay?" The nurse looked back at Mr. Gomez and said " What about your husband?" Marissa shook her head, said " I'll tell him later besides, we're getting divorce" the nurse nodded and said " Okay well, Rosa is stable but we like to keep her here a little longer if that's alright with you ?" Marissa nodded " Your daughter has a concussion and we found shards of glass in her head ."
Marissa was confused and said : Shards of glass in her head?" The nurse nodded and looked at the chart and said " We ran some tests on the pieces of glass and we found out that it is from a beer bottle ma'am. With the blows to your daughter head it almost pushed it into her brain."
Marissa wiped away tears and said " But she is going to be okay?" the nursed nodded and said ' Yes we have given her fluids and food because the test showed that she hasn't eaten today so we gave her that and painkillers for her head." Marissa nodded and said " Thank you so much and can you do me a favor ?" the nurse nod " Can you call security on my soon-to-be ex-husband because he has been abusing my daughter!"
The nurse nodded really fast and went to call security. They came ad grabbed Mr. Gomez he was yellin' ad screamin' on the way out .
Marissa went into Rosa's room and sees her laying on the bed looking out the window.
Rosa turned around and said " Mama, you're here!" Rosa holds her arms out for her mother. They hug and pull apart, Marissa move some hair out of Rosa's face and say's " Yes sweetheart, I'm here and I'll never leave you with that awful man again, I promise."
Rosa nodded her head and said " When can I go home ?" Marissa shrugged and said " I'll ask okay" Marissa walked out the room to find a doctor .
Rosa reached down and grabbed her IPod and played one of her favorite songs. Nightingale by Demi Lovato, Rosa loves Demi and knows everything about her. Rosa never knew why people were so mean to her. She was a very nice little girl and very respectful.
By the time Rosa woke up it was dark out side and the song was over.
Rosa looked at the chair next to her bed ad sees a woman in the chair and got scared.
The woman looked up from her phone and saw Rosa and said " Hi sweetie, no don't be scared, I promise I will not hurt you. My name is Katy and I'm from children services." Rosa sat up and said " W-where is mother?" Katy sighed and said " Rosalinda, I'm sorry to tell you this but your mother passed away a couple of hours ago." Rosa was confused and said " What do you mean? How long was ii asleep? Who is going to take of me now..."
Katy grabbed Rosa's hand " Calm down little one, your mom had a heart attack and didn't make it . Since your father is in jail we called net of ken. Your godmother lives in Los Anagles, California.
