Chapter 65;

Vanessa's POV :

I started packing my clothes into my suit case as I remain quiet . Me and mom haven't spoke .
Vincent sat on his bed watching me without speaking.

I put some more clothes in as Lana stood by the door. She knew I was upset so she didn't say nothing . Vincent stayed quiet as she stood there .

I passed Lana the first suit case as she kissed my head . I sighed as she left leaving him with me .

"You really leaving "

"Your staying " I asked back .

"You know what mom did was a test and you failed so bad ."

"I'm not at school , she needs to stop treating me like -

"You are a kid" he shot at me .

I ignored him and kept packing up my stuff . It was awkward between us once again.

"So your just gonna leave us, probably wined up dead because your mate's parent, or mom end up dead because she is protecting you two. Which I really hope she -

"Can you not!" I yelled at him.

Lana came back in at me yelling and looked between us .
"Problem." She asked .

"No ."

"Yes"

We both said at the same time as I shot him daggers .

"Just because you and this pack don't like my mate does not mean I am gonna give up everything for you."

"For your family ." He said .

I bit my lip
"Not even family ."

"Your heartless ." He said and walked past me hitting my shoulder .
What he said I took to heart and closed my eyes .
I threw my lamp at the wall and broke down what seemed like the millionth time today.
Lana held me in her arms as she rubbed my back softly .

I sniffled and looked at the picture frame that had all of us together laughing .

"Am I doubt the wrong thing." I questioned .

She remained quiet .

"Am I heartless ."

Still nothing .

I cried harder as hours passed. I didn't now what to do anymore, I don't know what I should and shouldn't do.

"Still leaving ?" Vikki's voice made me jump.
I looked at her as she smiled lightly .

"Don't go.. Let things blow over , stay in the guest room with Lana"

I looked at him than Lana.

"I need to know your safe.. So does your mother even if she won't show it now, that's how she feels." She said .

I sighed and dropped my bag.
"Whatever." I said .

She nodded .
"I'll have the room clean and taken care of it." She nodded and left.

I sat down on the bed as Lana followed and looked at me .
"I mink linked my pack to go into hiding, the beta will take over till we're back. Than I'll make you part of the pack. Ritual more like it ."

I nodded .
"You didn't have to stay and -

"I'm your mate, do be ridiculous ." She smiled placing her hand on my thigh .

My mother walked by as I stiffened . She didn't share a glance as she had her one hand on her stomach.
She hates me ..

"I know what you thinking , your wrong ." Lana said .

"No. She hates me , she said I wasn't her daughter.."

"She was upset , people say.. The dumbest things when mad.. But the reason you didn't help her is because of me. Why didn't you say anything ?"

"Because . I knew those wolves were after us. And if they found us. I would be dead and you depressed.. So I did it for us. I watched my mom almost get hurt.. Rhaped because I was selfish and was only thinking of us."

She was quiet .
"You did what you thought was right.."

"But was it?" I asked looking at her .

She shrugged her shoulders and laid back on my bed .
I got ontop of her straddling her . She looked at me. My wolf purred .

"I did it because I love you." I said .

Lana blinked twice and smirked as she grabbed my chin. I moved close to her face, I kissed her lips as sparks shot up my arms and legs .

Someone cleared their throat behind me as I turned seeing Jason rubbing the back of his neck.
"Your room is ready princess" I smiled at the old nickname as I got off Lana.

"Thanks Jason.. H-How is mom?" I asked .

Lana grabbed the pillow's and covers as we walked to the guest room.

"She is .. Well her?" He said .

I nodded .

"Pregnant as ever, food craving ." He continued .

I nodded as I passed each room, I spotted Alvin.
"Uncle Alvin!"

He looked up from him teasing his mate as he smiled and ran to me .

"My god you have grown!" He smiled .

"Ha yeah."

He looked at Lana than smirked .
"Congrats on a mate ." He said .

"T-Thanks. Lana this is my Uncle Alvin."

Lana smiled .
"Nice to meet you."

"So what has you looking well.. Let's be honest like.."

"Family drama " I said .

"Hm" he said nodding .

"I'll see you around . " I told him , he nodded as his mate tackled him. They played fought in the hall as I stepped over them.

Finally our room, which was the last room down the hall. Dark and creepy. I didn't fight about it .

"Ima shower." I told her as she nodded and called someone .

I closed the door behind me and striped down.
I looked at myself in the mirror . Bags under my eyes and my eyes red .. So this is what Alvin meant .

Sighing I turned the hot water on and stood in there not
Caring if it was too hot for my skin. I closed my eyes shut tight as the tears came again . I bent down and held onto my knees as I cried all the pain away.
