I woke to the fresh smell of bacon. Oh how I love bacon. And eggs with cheese mixed in it. It's actually pretty good, nice and creamy. Try it. No? Ok fuck off! I rubbed my eyes as I looked at the twin bed. Ryan was starring at me. Was something on my face? Oh my god!? Is it my hair or-

"Did you know you snore. It woke me up like five times." He smirked.

I blushed and looked away.

"At least I'm not emo."

"Emo isn't bad. Nothing's wrong with it little brat, it's you, that's wrong." He got out of bed, heading down stairs.

My mouth hanged open. What's wrong with me? I hate being criticized. It's annoying. The cheerleaders do it at school. Making rumors and shiz like that. I'm glad schools over, but I'm already having a bad summer. It's only been a day since schools been out.

I went down stairs, the smell of breakfast getting stronger. As I noticed everyone was downstairs, I sat on the counter. I watched as my mom prepared eggs, bacon, toast, and fresh strawberries with sugar. Mm, nothing like fresh strawberries with sugar in the morning. It wakes me up.

"You guys went to bed early. It was only one o'clock." My mom gave me my food.

"Well when I saw Ryan was asleep, I guess I got tired too." I shrugged.

"So that means you didn't apologized, eh?" My mom chuckled evilly.

"No worries, Mrs. Wright. She did." Ryan smiled.

Oh now he's being nice?

"Oh, call me Rachel." She gave me another plate of food.

I'm guessing I have to give this I Ryan? I hand it to him and he glared at me. Now he wants to go back to not so nice guy?

"Are you having mood swings?" I asked blankly.

"Now what's that to say?" Dad said through a mouthful of food.

"Sorry." I said sarcastically.

We ate in silence. Well, I did. My parents acted like I was invisible. They kept asking questions, which Ryan answered with a smile each time. They gave him more food when he wanted some, or when he was thirsty for some more orange juice. But when I wanted some, they'll say I'm being lazy and I should get my own. Why are they treating him like this?

It's like they are giving him attention because of something that happened to him. I think mom said something about me not knowing what he's been through. It was quiet annoying, so I slammed my glass of orange juice down and went to the living room, not caring what they thought.

I'll just make a game with Jace and Nicka. It's been a while since Nicka joined in on playing. I pulled on my ear set and cleared my throat.

"Hey Jace. Hey Nicka." I said happily.

"Hey babe! I miss you guys!" Jace chirped.

Nicka giggled from the other line. Oh course she had a crush on Jace. We been friends since we were three. Long time.

"I really miss you guys too, it's boring being here alone." I sighed as my parents said bye and headed for work.

The front door closed and Ryan came and sat on the other couch.

"Your alone? Poor baby! I wish I was there." Nicka whined.

"Why are you lying? I'm here ya know?" Ryan rolled his eyes.

"Is some one there, Rain? Oh my god! If its a boy imma beat the shit out of him if he treats you wrong! Is he your boyfriend? Did he try 'stuff'?" Jace yelled.
