*Stevie POV*
I woke up with Ally talking to someone at the door. I could barely understand the conversation due to my grogginess but I interpreted some of the words and it sounded like Ally was talking to her landlord or an administrator, at least.
"Yeah, alright, I understand." Ally said as she closed the door, seeming like she was rushing to end the conversation. She rolled her eyes and then she noticed me, she smiled instantly upon seeing me, making me smile."Goodmorning, beautiful." I grinned at her.
"Hai.." She came up to me and kissed my forehead.
"Who was that?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
She shook her head and responded with, "Just my landlord."
"Oh, was it important?" I asked.
"Yeah, kind of. I'm just behind on rent, apparently." She rolled her eyes.
"Hmph." I mumbled curiously, then brushed it off and got up from the couch and stretched, following Ally who was in the kitchen."Whatcha making?" I asked curiously, looking at what she was doing.
"Just coffee, you want some?" She asked back. I politely declined and sat on one of the dining chairs and went on my phone to read some emails.
"Can you get me some waa-waa?" I asked after a while, looking up from my phone.
"Some what?" She asked, laughing at me.
"Waa-waa." I pouted. She raised her eyebrows.
"WATER. Ally. WATER." I said, pretending to be annoyed.
"Ohh, haha. Why didn't you say so?" She smacked her lips as she said that, acting in character. I watched her as she opened the fridge to get the pitcher and poured water into a glass and put it down on the table as she sat down in front of me. "I was thinking we could get some iHop?" She told me in a slightly hopeful voice, probably wanting me to agree. I smiled and said, "Sure, as long as you're paying." I smirked.She chuckled and nodded her head.
"Hey I'm kidding, we'll split the bill." I quickly added back.
She laughed, "It doesn't matter, get dressed, lady. Take anything you want from my closet."As we were driving to iHop I couldn't help but stare at Ally driving. I can't help but admire her. From the way she occasionally fidgets with her fingers and taps on the wheel, the way the sun shines on her hair, the way she subconsciously bites her lips when she makes a turn or stops at a stop sign, to the way she chuckled and smiled at me when she caught me staring. She took my hand and kissed the back of it softly. I smiled and squeezed hers back gently.
It makes me wonder what she was so upset about the other night, I figured it wasn't the right time to ask her. She seemed so content, like she was glowing. It made me smile knowing I was the cause of this. Though we only literally hung out twice I felt like I knew her for a lifetime, enough to know that I was indeed the cause of her current happiness. I looked back to watch road and noticed we were already in the parking lot. She kissed my hand one more time before quickly getting out and opening my door for me. I smiled and took her hand that she was offering."So what to you wanna do today?" I asked as I watched her stuff a huge portion of her pancake in her mouth. I laughed hard as she couldn't respond due to her full mouth, and she almost choked as she laughed with me. She finally swallowed and said;
"Anything you want to do." I looked at her a bit disappointed at the cliche she just said. She noticed and said, "Or I could show you a place. I found it when I was younger and surprisingly no one's found it still." I smiled and agreed as she continued telling me about this place.-
