As soon as we got to the library, Alex jumped out of my car and practically ran inside. "Wait up." I chuckled jogging to catch up fit her. She stood holding the door open, hand on her hip. "Coming?" She asked, trying to act annoyed but smiled anyway. "Yep." I said grabbing the door from her and kissing her check. "After you, milady." I said sweeping my hand towards the library and bowing. "Why, thank you my good sir." She said walking inside. I follow her in and she groans before we even get close to the reception desk. "Betty's here today, she's in a scooter." I looked around and spotted her sitting behind the desk and she was, in fact, in a scooter. I leaned over to her whispering "why does she work at a library if she's in a scooter?" "I dont know," she whispered back, "and I am not asking." "Well," I said glancing at Betty, "that makes two of us." We walked to the deck slipped her books into the return slot and walked to her favorite section, sci-fi. On the way there I picked up a romance novel "Ooooooohhh," I said Looking at the cover of two people kissing under a tree, "looks juicy." I started reading the back "Joe desperately needs to tell charolet how he feels, but does she feel the sa-." I was cut off by Alex taking the book, knocking me up stuff the head and putting it back. "But, Allleeeexxxxx." I whined. "No buts, we came here to get books not goof off." She scolded. "But what fun's a date if we don't goof off, at least a little?" I said still whining. "So," she said dragging out the o, "this is a date?" "W-what....no I just...." I couldn't stop stuttering. I did say date didn't I, oh jeez I- my thought were cut off when Alex hit my shoulder. "Come on lover boy, I wanna book." She said giggling. "Sssshhhh," Betty said as she rolled by on her scooter, "no talking in the library!" When she turned away I looked over at Alex and nodded. She mouthed no but it was too late I turned back to Betty and stuck my tongue out st her. "Young man," she yelled, "you apologize or leave the library this instant. I started walking away but she started to scooter towards me. Alex and I started to run, but she kept a close distant never gaining or losing ground. We ran through the doors and down the steps, when we got to my car I ran to the other side to get in on the drivers side. I looked up in time to see Betty, librarian in a scooter, do a flip down the stairs and land sideways. She screamed for help but I decided it'd be better to drive off and not have to explain how she ended up sideways on the side walk.

So I got the idea for betty from sydniezorn. Also I dedicate this chapter to BooksAreAmazing01 because her brother was just in a crash and had serious injuries, I hope you know we all love you and your books and we're sorry about your brother, we hope he gets better soon, and just know were here for you ash.
