my one,my only,my world.....gone

"get out of bed Colby!!" a very annoying voice tries waking so i shoot my hand up only to have it caught mid-slap.

"not today we have work and we can't fight again because we both know J.P. will blame me.......AGAIN!!!!!" i moan, roll over, and proceed to pull my blanket over my head. i didn't hear from Lani in a while so i stir and pull the blanket away from my face. she won't give up that-

a cool wet liquid spills over me jolting me up while releasing a high pitched scream.

-easily.

"better go take a shower- oh wait you already got one- my bad." she giggles.

"go make me breakfast...... mom" she gives me a dirty look and walks away.

45 minutes later

i step out of our double vanity bathroom with my natural blood red hair pulled up with a sea shell clip a purple ' the little mermaid' crop top, green skater skirt, purple tights, a green leather jacket, and black ballet flats. i walk through the living room into the kitchen to see my pancakes, and bacon burning. the juice spilled..... what the heck!!!!

"LANI what the CRAP!!! the food!!!" all of a sudden this terrible felling comes over. so i run through the living room again but this time i notice the broken window and the blood! OH IT'S ON!!!i get my brass knuckles and pocket knife.....what a girl needs to protect herself. i'm coming Lani i will save you.

i sprint to the fire escape of our building and start my decent. on my way down i pull out my phone and call J.P. told him to call the police they would waste my time with questions and tell me to stay put. when i jump from the last platform to the ground i can hear whimpering and laughter. i follow the voices a round a corner to see one guy practically laying on top of Lani and two others just laughing at my friends position.

"hey!!!!! back up and try me i can give you a run for you're money." i smirk at the one closest to me as he decides it's his turn. wrong it's mine.i punch him in the face and sweep my leg out knocking his ankles together forcing him to the ground. i spending to much time admiring my work!!! they said 'admire when you're done it could cost you precious time'. someone throws me into the nearest wall. i see concrete fly around me. my assailant picks me up by the throat smirking down at me.i see that Lani is on her feet now holding her stomach as the guy brings a fist in to her face.at this i try ripping the guys hands off my throat. 'you did this to you're self man' i knee him where the sun don't shine and he drops me. i use my hand with the brass knuckles and drive a solid blow in to the guys face. i walk over to the one who's hitting Lani now and drive my fist in to the side of his mouth and he falls limp.serves you right man. i pull Lani into a hug.but we're pulled away by guy #1 who throws Lani in to the wall picking me up by the throat. i'm at least two feet off the ground. eye-to-eye with this man.

"you know i wasn't going to hurt you........i just wanted have a bit of fun same with you're friend." when he mentioned Lani i started to struggle i his arms. when i hear to guys laughing i know i failed in keeping them down.

"Lani........run........get help!!" i whisper out.he raises his fist and i flinch back.

"Hey let her go!!! didn't you're parents teach you not to hit girls." J.P. states. soon the hands around my throat are gone and i fall to the ground in a coughing fit. Lani. i shoot up and her her on the ground in front guy #3 i run up and check her wounds.

"thank goodness" i mumble when i look up i see guy #1 send a knife in to J.P. side he falls and i rush to him and hold his head in my lap as sirens fill my ears. guy #1 pulls out a gun a shoots me in the side before running off with his buddies as seven guys walk up one looks at me with love and one of the others holds the same expression and stares at an unconscious Lani but as they run after the assailants when the paramedics show up and put us on gurneys. but i start losing consciousness as i'm put in the ambulance.
