Chapter 1

It was seven o'clock in the evening when the young couple, Rebecca Grove and Joshua Moore had gone out for a late night picnic under the stars. They were sitting on top of the hood of Joshua's car watching the stars and the lights coming from the city bellow them.

"Rebecca, where do you see yourself in a couple of years?" Asked Joshua.

" A writer in New York, married to you, with two kids. A girl and a boy, the order doesn't matter. I basically see myself happy, some may even say complete. What about you?"

"I don't know about marriage, but I do know that we will still be together. I don't mind how many children we have, as long as we have a son."

"Let's hope he looks and acts like his mother because his father is just..."

"He is  what?" He asked.

"He is incompetent" She said jokingly.

"Incompetent? Really Becca? So what you're trying to tell me is that I can not please you in any way?" Asked Joshua.

"No and yes," Rebecca laughed, "you have your days. For example, today is just... Wow."

"Thank you Becca"

"Seriously Josh, this view is amazing."

"Ya well the view up here is not the only thing amazing."

Rebecca rewarded Joshua with a kiss on the lips.

"Josh, doesn't it scare you how we have been together for four years?" As shocked as Rebecca was, Joshua seemed pretty calm.

"No, because we're going onto our fifth year next week."

"We should celebrate," suggested Rebecca.

"Ha, do you remember that party we had a couple of weeks ago?" Asked Joshua, "that was enough celebrating for the both of us."

"How could I forget?" She slowly replied as her eyes started tearing.

Rebecca began remembering the horrors of that night; the 4th of July. The music, booming inside their house like the thumping sounds someone hears in their head when they have a migraine. People blocking the way from all directions drinking, smoking and sniffing something. Everything and everyone started changing colour. her heart attempted to thrust it's way out of her chest.

"Rebecca, are you ready to go?" No answer came from her.

"Rebecca!"  Josh called out trying to awaken her from my day dream.

"Huh?" She said suddenly realising that it was not the 4th of July.

"Are you ready to go?" He repeated

"Uhmm, ya sure..."

We packed the left over food and the camp chairs into Joshua's car and headed home.

◆Sorry for the short chapter. I just wanted to introduce the two characters to you guys. This chapter may seem ugh but trust me it's a pretty important one.

Readers who enjoy this book: Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it. If you do enjoy it please like or comment so I know whether or not to continue with this story. If you are confused, don't worry, you are supposed to be confused. All will be revealed in the chapters to come, if you like and comment of course.
Thanks :)

Readers who don't enjoy this book: If you dont have something nice to say or if you just want to be rude, don't say it at all. If you don't like, don't read it. Not everyone is going to like every story and I get that. If you're going to correct every mistake I make (the grammar use) just know that you are not perfect either and with all due respect if I wanted an editor I would have asked for one.
Thanks for your co-operation :)
