Dragon Girl (Gray Fullbuster)

She walked through the streets of Magnolia, a place she had never been but always dreamed of visiting. She was headed straight for the guild that called Magnolia home, Fairy Tail. This guild had famous wizards, wizards with incredible power and ability. She was hoping to become one of those wizards.

She walked up to the doors that led into the guild, but before she could open them a pink haired boy came running out; he managed to run smack into the girl.

"Oh, woah. Sorry about that, didn't see you there." He apologized, smiled, and helped her stand.

"It's okay. No harm, no foul. This is Fairy Tail, right?" Her voice seemed quiet, but somehow the boy knew that wasn't her real voice.

"Yeah, are you new in town? I don't think I've seen you around before."

"Yeah... I just arrived this morning. I was hoping," she began to fidget around, "that I could join... I know that sounds strange and that I probably wouldn't get in because I'm a nobody... But I can still hope..." She became sad, almost like she had just been told she couldn't join the guild.

"Well, all you have to do is ask. C'mon, I'll introduce you to Master. Oh wait, he's not here right now, I'll introduce you too Mirajane then." He grabbed the girl's hand and dragged her into the guild.

She was looking around the guild, so many people and so much noise. She was watching as people were drinking, laughing, and fighting with each other. The boy dragged her to a white haired woman, she immediately became aware that this woman must have been Mirajane. Smoothing out her outfit and hair, she put on her best smile before Mirajane turned to face them.

"Natsu! I thought you just left? Who's this?" Mirajane had a sweet voice and an even sweeter smile. But what perplexed the girl was the fact that she had spent all this time with Natsu Dragneel, she knew who he was because he was the one who usually ended up in Sorcerer Weekly for destroying towns.

"Well I did, but then I met.... Uh.... What did you say your name was again?" Natsu had a goofy smile on his face when he realized his blunder.

"Oh, my name is Adelaide." She smiled brightly at the two standing before her.

"She was hoping to join Fairy Tail, I think she'd make a great addition." Natsu seemed firm on the idea of Adelaide joining the guild. Mirajane turned to Adelaide and smiled.

"Show me your magic, then you're in."

Adelaide stood back from the two, she pulled a fist back and then punched Natsu. Not only did she send him flying across the room, she always encased half of his face in ice. He jogged back over to Adelaide and then melted the ice on his face. Mirajane stifled a laugh and Natsu looked dumbfounded.

"You're so powerful... And tiny. Are you an ice make wizard?" Natsu laughed, usually he would want to fight with anyone who punches him but he knew he would have to wait for the girl to join the guild.

"Adelaide, you are in!" Mirajane applauded the girl, and brought out her magic stamp. Adelaide jumped for joy when she was told she was in the guild, and proudly received her mark right above her right hip.

Mirajane went about her previous business and Natsu smiled at his new friend. He was walking her around the guild when a dark haired boy came charging towards them. Adelaide noticed and couldn't understand why all of a sudden the two boys were in a fight. Adelaide wanting to end such a stupid fight, entered between the two of them and they stopped when they saw the girl completely covered in ice. This was her most powerful defensive move, she shrouded herself in ice and became almost indestructible.

"Woah..." Muttered the two boys. Adelaide returned back to normal, and smirked at them both.

"Gray put your clothes on!" Natsu cried out and pointed at the other boy.

After Gray put clothes back on, he immediately looked at Adelaide, enamored at the other ice wizard.

"Are you an ice make wizard?" Gray was looking at the girl, and Natsu suddenly became interested in the conversation.

"No, I'm a dragon slayer. And before you," she gave a pointed look at Natsu, "start with questions. His name was Misangaard, he was an ice dragon and my foster father. I've been wandering around for 7 years trying to find him." Adelaide explained as little as she could, she didn't have all the answers she needed.

Gray and Natsu looked sad when they this, Natsu's story was almost exactly the same and Gray had a similar story even though he wasn't a dragon slayer.

"Oh man... The time! Happy, we gotta go!" Natsu ran out of the guild while being followed by a flying blue cat.

Gray grabbed Adelaide's hand, unconsciously though, he couldn't explain what made him do so; and Adelaide couldn't explain what didn't make her pull away.
