Me and Harry end up standing infront of a diner. It was actually only a couple of blocks from the hospital.
We walk in and the waitress seats me and Harry in a booth in the corner of the restraunt. She first takes our drink order before leaving us with the menu and eachother.
"This place is adorable." I say admiring the surroundings of antique furniture.
"Yeah, I use to come here and read when I was younger." Harry says and I'm shocked.
"You read?" I ask laughing.
He looks up and his cheeks are slightly pink. I don't think he ment to let that slip.
"Shut up." He jokes laughing with me.
"You're pretty cute, ya know?" I say smiling into his perfect green eyes.
"Yeah, I've heard that before." He rolls his eyes, and I can't help but laugh even louder.
"Why don't you ever sit on the same side as me?" He asks and I remeber the last time we sat in this same position.
"Because last time you couldn't hold yourself back, and I actually want to stay and eat today." I smirk and now Harry laughs loudly.
I love this playful side of him.
"Well I promise to keep my hands to myself today." He says smiling and slides over to make room.
I get up from my side and move closer to Harry. I slide into the booth and his arm wrapes around my back.
"Um that is deffintly not 'keeping your hands to yourself'." I say mocking him.
"Sorry. Guess I really can't help myself." He jokes smiling at me.
"Thanks for coming today. I don't know what I would have done if you weren't there." He looks directly into my eyes.
"You're welcome, but I don't really feel like I did all the much." I honestly tell him.
"You did more than enough." He says moving his legs closer to mine.
I can feel the tension between us rising but the waiter interrupts setting our drinks on the table, and taking our main order.
When she walks away I look back to Harry. I need to ask him about his relationship with his parents. His reaction is replaying in my mind.
"Can I ask you something?" I say as soon as the waiter leaves.
"Anything." He looks down at me squeezing my side.
"Why do you never see your mom." I ask, and Harry visibly tenses.
"Do we have to get into this, Alex? It's complicated." He says shutting me off.
"I mean we don't have to, but I would really love it if you would tell me why." Harry now seems so far away. Not the same guy that was just playfully flirting with me minutes ago.
"Why do you even care?" He snaps back at me.
I'm taken back by his harsh tone and move slightly away from him.
"Sorry I asked." I respond just as rude.
"Me too." He spits rolling his eyes.
"You said we would talk about it at the restraunt." I remind him.
Harry moves his arm from around me and I can't help the emptiness I feel. I don't understand why this is such a big deal.
"I don't want to talk about it Alex. Especially not to someone I hardly know." He spits at me again. Ouch.
