the new life

school

i laughed at what Jeremy had just said about his brother and the prank he pulled on him.  we had been driving for what felt like forever but i knew it had only been a few hours. i finally saw a sign that said interchange ahead 

i wonder where we were going but i didn't want to pester Jeremy with any more questions he already told me he couldn't tell me so i just sat back and watched the trees pass. we were going down some old back road lost in though i didn't notice Jeremy pull over until the car had stopped, i was confused what was going on but before i could say anything Jeremy said " Esme i so sorry about this " and then i felt a stingy sensation in my neck. wait what the hell did he just do?! i thought we were friends. 

my eyes fluttered closed and the last things i heard was Jeremy apologizing over and over again.

I heard movement but my eyes felt to heavy to open them. I wanted to tell them to be quiet but when i tried to speak, my ears began to ring and my head started pounding. Okay i needed to know what was going on.i could tell i was laying on something,it was soft .

With all my will power i managed to crack one eye open and i saw a figure sitting next to me. where was i ? Oh my god was i kidnapped ? Was i being sex trafficked. Horrible scenarios of me being strapped to a chair and tortured began flooding my mind. The figure next to me started laughing and I became angry what was he laughing at ?  He had no right he kidnapped me !

Okay I had to get out of here, ignoring the pain i bolted up right and lounged for the person in front of me. I began trying to use my powers to make him pass out but it wasn't working . Why wasn't it working oh my god did they take my powers away from me. so i tried the next best thing and i tried to strangle him. Yes me Esme blaze tried to strangle someone. In my defense i didn't get very far . My hands were around his neck and i tried squeezing like i saw on the movies but nothing was working the person easily threw me off of them. . okay option 3. I started running towards my kidnapper and  i kicked him where the sun dosnt shine.

He instantly fell to the floor and i mentally applauded myself for being able to escape. i ran for the door and frantically tried to open it. Finally it budged and i was faced with a decision. 

left or right 

with a split second decision i chose left. Because everyone chooses right. i started running passing doors as i did. i was running down a dimly lit hallway but i could make out double doors at the end. i was so close to freedom and then . oooofff i was slammed to the ground. i started struggling  against my attacker but i was no match for their large frame. 

"Esme its okay its just me. Jeremy" with that the events flooded back to me. I was still struggling against him. He did after all shove a needle into my neck. who does that!

"Get off me you ass hole you tried to kidnap me" i breathlessly said. I was loosing energy quick and i was getting light headed. 

" I didnt kidnap you, i just gave you something to sleep-" he started before i cut him off

"yeah so you could kidnap me you kidnapper"

"No, so you wouldn't know where we were taking you" he said standing up. He reached out a hand to help me up and i knocked it away with my own and stood up. 

" my point exactly" i retorted rubbing my head, i didn't feel so good. 

it was dark but even in the dim light i could see Jeremy roll his eyes. " the school makes us do it for security reasons" 

oh well that made a lot more sens, but really warn a girl next time. its rude to stab a needle in someones neck without them knowing. as i went to tell Jeremy this the hallway started to spin and i stumbled. Jeremy quickly grabbed my waist to steady me. 

i was slightly grateful , but i wouldnT tell him that.

"where am i " i thought this was a good question to ask now.

" you are in the west wing of the school. where all newbies are brought to sleep off the sedative" Jeremy said it calmly like it was perfectly normal to sedate and kidnap people. but i guess for him it was normal.

he walked me back down the hallway, to what im assuming was the door i had ran out of. he opened it and i was hesitant to go back in, but i knew i had to. i walked through the door to see Alex holding his crouch sitting on my bed, oops okay maybe that was my fault. 

"ya think" Alex said angerly 

i was confused but then it clicked. he had the power of mind reading. damn that was cool i wish i had that one.

"  of-course dumb ass " he said rolling his eyes

" well if you can read minds than why didn't you know i was going to kick you in the balls?" i replied not liking his tone. 

" because i didn't think you would be such a bitch and actually do it." he replied 

and then something else occur-ed to me... "Jeremy why couldn't i use my powers" i asked starting to become worried.

" oh dont worry about that, happens to every newbie we bring in, its to protect us against being harmed.. guess they didn't factor in everything else" Jeremy replied moving to sit in the chair by the bed, laughing at his brother 

" but how" i was curious and concerned i haven't been without my powers before and i wanted them back. i didn't feel whole without them.

" the shot had a beta blocker in" he replied

" they will be back shortly " Alex added almost knowing my next question. oh right, mind reader he could.

well this is one way to start a new school
