Meeting my other half CHAPTER ONE

It was the last two weeks of summer, in Chicago, illinois. On a disturbing thursday a family gets introduced to a secret that's been kept in for years.

" Introduce yourself " Ayanna ordered.As All six teens stand in the living room looking at one another confused, as if one knew this was about to happen.

Lavon: I know this isn't easy... (he took a 3 second pause trying to make the conversation much easier.) ... but me and your mothers thought ... Ayanna cleared her throat interrupting her husband. Lavon continued. I mean London's mom and I thought this way was easier. Waiting until you all were older and in High school to tell you about your other sister. See 23 years ago before me and your mom was married, I wasn't always a great boyfriend and I stepped out on your mom. I was with her and sarah at the same time for like a whole year and that's when london was conceived.

Lashae: London?
Lavon: Yes, your big sister. He grab London and put his hands on her shoulder like he was presenting a project in front of the class.
Amiya: I Have so many questions
Laurian: Me too. I just don't know where to began.
Alexis: I don't know if I should be happy or angry.
Lashae: who keeps their daughter away from their siblings?
Adrian: how is this possible? did you know about us ?
London: no. my dad, our dad has been in my life for the last 5 years my mom told him about me when is 10. I was just curious to know so she called and he's been in my life ever since. 2 weeks ago he told me about you guys and said I could meet you whenever i'm ready.so here I am.
Alexis: mom you knew ?
London: Yeah i met her before too.
Alexis: sorry i was talking to my mom, that someone we don't share. if i'm not mistaken.
London: and what the fuck that's suppose to mean?
Ayanna: Alexis you are being rude. London stop cursing in this house.
Lavon: Apologize to each other
Alexis: dad i'm not apologizing we are not kids i'm about to be 18, you can't just drop a bomb like this and expect us to be cool with this. i just think your decision was selfish. Alexis stormed upstairs and 2 seconds later you heard her door room slam.
Adrian rolls her eyes " here we go again"
Ayanna: Well can't you blame her your dad been hiding this for 5 years.
Lavon: doesn't mean she can act the way she's acting. You know what happened to london's mom.
Aamiya: So you just gonna let her talk to y'all any type of way.
Lavon muffed Aamiya
Aamiya: ouch! you should've did her like that. she said under her breath.

It gets quiet for a second everyone began to stare into space.

Adrian: I'm going to break this awkward attention. Hi Im adrian, the second oldest also the twin of Laurian. The one who was rude is Alexis the oldest. she probably upset because she found eddy cheating AGAIN.
(Lashae and Aamiya Laughed)
Lavon: Who the fuck is eddy?
Ayanna: Well i'm finna start on dinner.
Lavon: don't try to leave now. he yelled as she exited the living room making her way into the kitchen.
Ayanna:you need to go check on your daughter. she yelled back
Laurian: dad you're always at work so you wouldn't know her boyfriend.
Lavon: boyfriend?
Laurian: and Adrian I believe mom said introduce yourself not everyone and our whole background. But I guess she told you who I am, Laurian if you don't remember.
Aamiya: well he wasn't technically at work, he was spending time with, London I hope I said it right.
Lavon: you said it right and everyone just gonna ignore me huh when Alexis get a boyfriend?
Everyone paused not trying to get involved in the daddy, daughter and boyfriend drama.
Aamiya: dad we are not trying to do this again. It's finna go the same way like the day you met Roy, But this time you're going to scare her boyfriend off. London, I'm Aamiya.
Lavon: I know Roy's dad we all grow up in the projects together.
Aamiya: nooooo dad please don't start.
(London laugh)
Lashae: you must heard the stories too?
London: yes (she said very shy not trying to upset anyone)
Adrian: ohhhh so cause you know her boyfriends dad she can spend the night over there I understand. ( being sarcastic )
Lavon: what? your mom know about this ? Babyyyyy!
Lashae: sooo i'm Lashae the youngest.
she gave london a hug making her feel comfortable. London hugged her with one hand for a second then she used both, the hug lasted for a good minute it was to cute the others started to join in. They set on the couch and started questioning London trying to fill in the pieces, and get to know her better. London felt better, more welcomed. Lavon went upstairs to check on Alexis.
