She believed the lies that she's been told ,so she put her dreams on hold

Been raised to speak up her mind and be bold

But everytime she's so close to making her wishes come true; The fairytale is cut short...

They told her she can do anything and be whoever she wants when she grows old

Yet somehow her life turned out to be nothing like she'd hoped

She tried to stay true to her self 'cause only truth could set you free

But right now she feels she's standing on a cliff And about to jump into a deep blue sea

Everyone always seem to have a plan for her and all she has to do is go along and agree

They think they know the best for her Little that they knew all she wants is to let her be

She hid scraps of paper of things she wanted to do and places she wishes to see

But they laugh at her dreams treating them like a joke

Everytime she's about to let her voice be heard , their words 'd make her choke

Days keep on dragging on ;all the same as she puts her dreams on hold; a part of her is stupid enough to believe the things she's been told...
