A/N: This is my first ever wattpad story and my first BoyxBoy story ever. I don't really care that much about votes, and I'm not trying to get any awards. If even only one person finds this story and loves it, I will be happy:) But I do beg you for comments, they make my day:) Even the haters, criticism is almost always helpful. I really just want people's opinions on how I write, and i think I'm rambling on. Sorry:P Well this is my story and the picture is of Carter Prince. Enjoy:)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carter Allen Prince was just an average boy. He had short brown hair, brown eyes, 15 years old and 5’8. Carter got good grades, had never been in real trouble with any of his teachers or his parents, all in all he was a good kid. He went to Keshequa High School in Nunda, NY, but he lived in Castile, NY one town away. His parents decided to send him to Keshequa because it had a better reputation then the schools around him. Carter didn’t mind, though. The towns weren’t far apart so he could still go visit his school friends at their houses and his school friends could still come visit him. A few of his friends that lived around him went to Keshequa including his girlfriend Lila Simmons and his best friend Ryder Maddox. They all hung out with two other kids who went to Keshequa, but lived in Nunda. They were Taylor Lancaster and Michael Puckett, just five crazy teenagers living in their small little world. This is their story.
Carter’s POV
“Haha! I so owned you dude!”
“That’s so not fair! It was beginner’s luck I swear!”
“No it was not! I’m sorry I’m just better than you at pretty much everything.”
“Oh shut up Ryder!” I said, throwing a pillow at my best friend Ryder Maddox. We were sitting on my living room floor playing Call of Duty Black Ops.
“Don’t you dare through a pillow at me Carter Allen.” He said, throwing the pillow back.
“I told you to never call me that!” I leaped at him, got him in a headlock, and gave him a killer noogie. It quickly turned into a full on wrestling match, which I was really stupid to start. I knew I could never beat Ryder. He was a star rugby player and had muscles twice the size of mine. He had me pinned in less than a minute.
“I told you I’m better than you at everything.” He said with a smirk, releasing my wrists he had pinned to the ground and rolling off me.
“Pshh no you’re not. You seem to be forgetting that I’m the one with the sexy butt girlfriend and you’re sitting at home alone without a date every Friday night. Poor Ryder.” I gave him my best pouty face and he growled at me.
“True, but you guys have been dating for how long now? And you still can’t cuss worth a damn can you?”
“Five years. And I can cuss, I just choose not to.”
“Right, whatever. But five years. And you still haven’t gotten into her pants? Interesting….”
“Oh shut up! Unlike you I actually care about a relationship.” Ryder attracted a lot of girls. According to every girl I’ve talked to he has ‘shaggy black hair that you just want to run your hands through’ and ‘piercing gray eyes that make you forget everything else in your life.’ I already mentioned how built he was so he was very well…. experienced.
“Right….. So why exactly haven’t you had sex?”
“Ugh too personal bro. So awkward, let’s just have a Black Ops rematch.”
“Fine with me, getting to kick your ass three times in one day? Don’t have to ask me twice.”
In fact he wasn’t lying, he did kick my butt, again, and again, and again, and again. Finally I got tired of it and kicked him out. Not in a mean way, I just lied and said I had to do homework. I don’t think he believed me because he kind of said ‘right’ and rolled his eyes. I need to come up with better ways to kick him out of my house, and to cuss. My mom got home about half an hour later and I started to help make chicken pasta with her. It might sound a little girly, but it was a weekly thing between my mom and I. Every Tuesday night we both made dinner together and it was always delicious. My dad got home a few minutes before our pasta was done. He hung his gun belt up in the closet before coming into the kitchen and kissing my mom. He was a lieutenant for the Town of Nunda Police Department. It scared Mom to death, but it was Dad’s passion and he loved it. Mom was a dental receptionist. It wasn’t a great job, but she didn’t mind it that much. I heard a bus pull up in front of our house and a few seconds later our door slammed open and shut. My little sister came rushing in talking a mile a minute.
“Hey Mommy and Daddy guess what I did at school today? I made a finger painting of our whole family. I have to show you because it’s really pretty. I left it in my backpack and I have to go get it. I shared my peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich with Kelsey today and Evan flicked a raisin at my head because he said my sandwich wasn’t real. He said real sandwiches had peanut butter and jelly. Is that true Mommy? Is my sandwich not real? Because I called him a doo-doo head and what if I was wrong? What if my sandwich isn’t real Mommy? Oh and Mrs. Richardson said that my story was really pretty. The one that I wrote about the pony and his unic-“ I covered her mouth with my hand, trying to stop her constant babbling. I couldn’t believe that a 6 year old could talk so much! I felt a wet, slimy tongue slide over my hand.
“Gross!” I yelled, jerking my hand away.
“It’s the story with the pony and the unicorn, Mommy, the ones that go behind that waterf-“
“Caroline, honey,” my mom said, cutting my sister off, “Why don’t you tell me about your school day later? Right now dinners ready and you need to go clean yourself up. Carter will help you reach the sink. Wash your hands really well and then come back down for dinner, ok?”
“Yes Mommy.” Caroline said before turning her big, blue eyes towards me. “Caaarteeer..” She cooed in her sweet little voice. “Will you give me a piggy back ride to the bathroom, pleeaassee?” She did her signature smile that she knew I couldn’t resist.
“Ugh come on Squiggle,” I pretended to be mad at her, but she knew I wasn’t serious. I had used the super special nickname. I was never mad if I used the super special nickname. I made hers Squiggle, because she was always moving and wiggling.
“Thanks T-Rex!” She said giggling while I swung her up onto my back.
“Why do you call me T-Rex?” I asked, not really expecting a logical answer from a six year old.
“Because I’m just a little Squiggle and you’re the big T-Rex that has to protect me from all the mean and scary people,” her eyes got bugger and she started to speak in a whisper when the said the last part, as if she thought the ‘mean and scary people’ would pop up and scare her if she spoke too loud. But her reasoning was dead on. I reached my hand up, rubbed it through her little blonde curls, and she rested her chin on my shoulder. I knew that I could never let anything hurt my little sister. I was her protector and her role-model. I would do anything to make her life better.
“Come on little Squiggle, time to wash your hands,” I held her up by her stomach while she scrubbed before doing the same on my hands. Then we ran back downstairs to devour our delicious dinner. Mom and Dad talked about their work while we feasted on the amazing pasta my mom and I made.
After dinner we played some bored games until Caroline’s bedtime. Then my mom and my dad went to their office and began doing their work. I decided that was my cue to start the homework I had just realized I had. I guess I hadn’t lied to Ryder about. I walked up to my bedroom, did homework for a couple hours, before falling asleep on my desk.
I had the strangest dream then, of a squiggly line hiding behind a big T-Rex while villagers with pitch forks came running towards them. I guess Caroline’s story really stuck with me.
