Finally,I slept. Finally, it was over. Unfortunately, I woke up because of a nightmare. A nightmare I never wish to dream. A nightmare about my father.
I was standing there. In the doorway of my house. My father, was outside, staring back at me, father looked soulless. It was like his soul was taken. He stared at me, it sent chills to my spine. His eyes were red, like he was crying the whole day. He went in his car and waved me goodbye as he drove off. I wanted to be with my father so badly that I tried to run to him. But as soon as my feet starts to run, I felt a cold hand on my left shoulder. I turn back terrified because it was a woman whom i don't know. Her hair was messy, her eyes were black, making it look likes she's eye less. And her smile, she was smiling, her eerie smile.
Her smile made me wake up.I couldn't get the image of her out of my head. Luckily, I remembered a funny video I watched from youtube made me erase the image of 'her'. I slowy drifted to sleep. Peacefully.
I woke up and got ready to go to school. I wore a striped t-shirt and some jeans and paired with my red converse.
I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw father cooking me bacon pancakes for breakfast. "I thought mom was cooking. It seems like she really do hate me after all. " I said in my head and pulled the chair for me to sit. I ate my breakfast while dad washed the dishes. I suddenly thought of that image of 'her' when I heard my mother comes downstairs to the kitchen. Mother look exactly like 'her'. Mother told father that she's going out. She glared at me with her greyish eyes and went away.
I thought about my dream. Maybe it was a vision! But that's impossible! My father and mother won't get divorce...right? They love me right?..I guess. Father won't leave me..right? As I thought about my dream where my father waved me and drove off, maybe it meant him leaving me. No! It was just a dream!
" Just a dream.."" what are you' thinkin' about, tiger? " my father asked. I was staring at the ceiling thinking about the dream, no wonder.
"Umm..no-nothing!" I ate my last piece of bacon and put my plate into the sink. "I'm gonna get going." I said to my father." You sure you're not thinking bout' negative things, right kiddo? " my father jerked. " what? No way!" I replied, disgusted.
" fine, fine..sure you're walking to school? You know I don't mind using-"
"It's fine. I'll just walk. It's near anyway, no bother" I cut him off.
" You sure you won't be bull-"
"Father, I've grown up. I can deal with it." I said even though deep inside my heart, my beating heart, I was afraid."Goodbye father! See you soon!" I waved at father. He smiled and went back in his house.
I walked to school as fast as I could to avoid my bullies.
And yes, I'm starting to regret not accepting father's request. I should've just ask him to send me.
"Sigh" I sighed disappointed at my 'protest' that I'm already a 'grown up'.
I think the years has flew to fast.
" Time waits for no one." I chuckled.
I have grown up outside, but inside me, there's this person who's still a kid, not ready to be a man yet.I felt like today is my lucky day. My bullies didn't show up as I walked to school. "Piyuhhh! I'm one lucky boy!" I was relived and happy those thugs didn't appear. If not, I might make mother and father fight again.
Whenever I said or though about 'mother' the image of 'her' will flashed through my mind, making me scared.
That image, I hoped, won't actually meant my mother.Maybe this dream is a vision. I hope not.
