Chapter 1

Jess' P.O.V

I walk around my room and gather a few stuff. Today I'm off to University. I walk over to my bed and sit on the edge. I turn my head and look at my nightstand. There's a picture of my dad sitting in an antique frame. I feel tears stinging the corners of my eyes. Soon enough the tears make their way down my cheeks. I begin trembling. "Jess are you okay?",Josh says from the doorway.My head snaps up. "Josh. I miss dad,"I say and my lips quiver. Josh comes over to me and pulls me into a hug. "I do too Jess",he says as he rubs my back. A minute later I calm down and wipe the tears away. "Josh will you go with me? I need help taking stuff into my dorm." He nods and grabs my stuff and heads outside to the car. "I'll be there in a minute I just need to grab something." I get up and take a look around. My walls are decorated in posters if my favorite bands. All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens,The Ready Set,and many more. I walk over to my nightstand and grab my dad's picture and head out to the car. We get in the car and drive off to the University. I turn on the radio and sing along to every song. Josh just smiles and laughs at me the entire time.

"Here it is Jess. Columbia University." It's huge. Josh parks the car and we get out. He gets my stuff from the trunk. I grab my dad's picture and put it in my bag. I look at the building across from us. "I think its that one Josh", I say and point. He nods and we walk to the building.We walk around trying to find my dorm room. "Josh It's on the second floor. Room 216." We walk up the stairs and down the hall. "Here it is",I say. I pull out the key from my bag,unlock the door and open it. No one is in here yet,but theres stuff around the room."Umm Josh you can leave my stuff right here next to the bed.Thank you so much for helping me." I give him a big hug. We exchange goodbyes and he's on his way.My phone buzzes a minute later. I take it out of my bag and read the text.

Josh: Have fun in CU :)

I smile and put my phone down on the bed. I grab my stuff and start putting them away. By the time I finish It's5 pm. I sit on the bed and look around. I look opposite my side of the room. I notice several posters. I don't really recognize any of the bands except for 2. Minutes later I hear laughter coming from the hall. The door knob turns and a skinny girl with brown hair comes in. Right behind her is a tall lean guy with brown curly hair. They both stand in the doorway and stare at me. She's really pretty. She has green eyes.she wears a lot of makeup.She's wearing high waisted shorts with a black crop top,and her hair is sleek straight.I don't really pay attention to the guy behind her.I get up to introduce myself. "Hi. I'm Jess your new roommate",I say with a smile. "Well hi Jess. My name is Rachel and this is Harry",she says then points at the guy. "Is he your boyfriend?",I ask shyly. "I'm not her boyfriend!",he snaps. "Oh I'm sorry I just thought,"I was interrupted in the middle of my sentence. "Well you thought wrong!",he yells and walks out. "What was that about?",I ask Rachel.

"I don't know." "So umm Jess you want to watch a movie or something?" "sure." "Maybe umm we can get to know each other." We spends hours talking about our lives and laughing and watching movies. "It's getting late don'tcha think Rachel?" "Oh call me Rach. Yeah umm maybe we should go to bed,or." "Or what?",I ask raising an eyebrow. "Or we can go to this party that I know of tonight." "Umm yeah sure. sounds fun." Although I said yes I was kind of regretting it. "Great! Let's get ready!" She jumps up and heads to the closet. She pulls out a short black dress. "You like this?",she asks as she raises the dress up. "Yeah it's cute." "What are you going to wear Jess?" "Umm I was thinking just a pair of jeans with a cute top and heels." "Okay."

After we each get changed and our makeup and hair is done we head to the party.

After 15 minutes we arrive at a frat house. We both get off and head inside. We walk in and Rachel introduces me to a few people. "Hey Jess I'm gonna go get a drink. You want one?" "Uhh no I'm fine,thanks" Rachel leaves and heads to what I think is the kitchen. I walk around a bit. Theres so many drunk people around.

"Hey",I hear a deep voice say behind me. I recognize the voice from earlier.It's Harry. "What do you want?!" I can't help but yell at him. He seems like a jerk and I don't want anything to do with him. "What's the matter Jessica? You got a stick up your ass?!",he slurs out and laughs. I push him and yell, "Don't call me that! You don't even know me you asshole!" He takes his hand and puts it over his heart and mockingly says, "Ow that really hurt." He starts laughing.

God this guy is such a jerk! I get frustrated at him and walk away. "Where are you going Jessica?!",He yells and laughs. "I told you not to call me that, and none of your business!",I bark at him. I make my way through the crowd and find the kitchen. All I see is alcohol and drunk people all around. I push my way through and grab a drink.

After a few drinks I can't think straight. I feel dizzy. I walk up the stairs to try to find a bathroom and I bump into someone and they spill they're drink all over me. "What the fuck!",I yell. "Oh sorry.." "Harry What the fuck you ass?!" "Sorry Jess it was an accident." Did he just call me Jess? Is he okay. He's being nice. "Let me take you to go get some new clothes on. It's the least I can do." I don't know whether to trust him or not but the words come out of my mouth.

"okay let's go." Right now I could care less that its Harry. I'm so drunk I can't think straight. "Can you take me back to the dorms?" "Yeah sure come on." He grabs my hand and and leads me outside to his car. We get in the car and he drives me back to my dorm. He parks the car and gets out. Suddenly my door is opened. Harry extends his hand out for me to grab. I grab his hand and get out. He walks me to my dorm. "Umm Harry? Do you want to watch a movie with me?" What the hell did I just ask him?

He smiles and nods his head. I unlock the door and we go in. "Umm what movie do you want to watch?" "Doesn't matter",he says in his deep voice.His voice sends shivers up my spine. I look at him and smile. He smiles back and for the first time I notice his perfect green eyes and his cute dimples. He looks me up and down and bites his lip. I bite my lip as well and heat rushes to my cheeks. He slowly walks up to me. He raises his hand to my face and pushes strands of hair back from my face to my ear.

His touch sends shocks down my body. He licks his lips and leans in. Suddenly his lips are on mine. They're soft and warm. he licks my bottom lip begging for entrance. I let him in and the kiss gets intense. What am I doing?! I can't help it. Something about him just makes me want him. I want more.I break the kiss and back up a bit. "What's wrong?",he asks. "Nothing," I say and look down. I look up at him through my eyelashes and notice his eyes have turned a darker shade of green. He runs his hand down to my waist and pulls me in. He tilt his head and leans in close to my ear. "You will be mine. You'll give yourself to me,"he says and i feel his hot breathe down my neck.
