Someone once asked me if I ever lied to someone. I had said no. Quite frankly, I was stupid back then.I should have said yes. It wasn't a very good idea to lie, at least to me when I was young. But now I'm not so sure about that.
You see, all I do now is lie (With some exceptions). I've had a very gruesome year, because all I did was tell the truth. And that someone that had asked me if I had ever lied to someone was a huge part of it.
They made sure I got punished for every time I told the truth. So the first time I lied, I got no punishment to my surprise. I was so sweet and innocent; compared to what I am now.
And this is where my story began.
Because, It's all Fun and Games until Somebody Dies. And all of my fun had already ended.
It all started when my mother had sent me off to school like usual. I had gotten on that tiny bus that smells like weed and puke. I sat in seat 16 to be exact, in between of an foreign Indian boy smoking weed and a small Japanese girl. If I remember correctly her name was Summer, and she was trying to apply a crimson lipstick. But failing miserably due to all of the bumps and curves the bus ran into. The Indian boy continued to smoke weed.
The bus took one last curve and drove into the school's parking lot, you could hear teenagers yelling and screaming at each other, I was already getting an migraine. But I guess that didn't matter anymore, the bus doors flew open. Teens scrambled out of the door; pushing one another out of their way. I stayed seated and waited till every last person exited the bus. Then I slowly walked up to the bus driver. "You know, if the school had put cameras inside the buses. They would know that the Indian kid in seat 15 smokes weed." I turned around and skipped out the bus, quickly making my way into school.
I made my way to my first class; History. As soon as I walked into the classroom, the bell rang. Mr. Bind gave me a quiet stare, I wasn't late. He just disliked me.
I sat in my assigned seat and pulled out my books, as Mr. Bind started to teach I studied the other students. This is what I called my homework. In each and every class.
My history class soon ended, but before then an announcement came through the speakers. "Attention! Will Kalap Sodhi report to the main office. I repeat, will Kalap Sodhi report to the main office."
I grinned with joy. The kid in seat 15, out.
This year was going to be a great one.
