A/N: I'm not actually going to tell you what's going on yet, but I'll clue you in on some things. Also, thanks for sticking with me so far! I wasn't sure about this story, but lots of people seem to like it, so thank you so much!
Pic of Delilah on Side
As much as I would like to say that I had seen this all coming, I can't. Because even though I tell people I'm psychic, I'm actually not, as sad as that is. So when Leo explained everything, I was just as surprised as the next person. Although there wasn't actually a next person, but you know that expression.
"Wait, wait, wait. Run this all through me again," I said, trying to comprehend it all. So Leo patiently explained everything again and I listened carefully, making sure I had heard him right the first time. Once he finished talking there was a long pause. Leo looked at me with apprehension.
"So?" he asked.
"What?" I asked, startled.
"You weren't paying attention were you?" Leo sighed.
I grinned sheepishly. "I did hear you, I just zoned out. Thinking about it all. You know."
"So what did you think?" he questioned. I started humming "So What" by P!NK before I realized he had asked me a question.
"Oh. Oh. Ooohh," I said, making it seem like I was stalling. He was not amused. "So you're actually asking me? I'm kind of strange. Not completely right in the head. My parents aren't sure that I'm 'all there'. My boss thinks I'm a weirdo. I live with my parents. Maybe I am a weirdo..." I mused, trailing off.
"You're talking to a guy who stared at a tree for three hours straight in hopes of attracting a lady," he said.
"Yeah, but you wanted a weird lady," I replied, sticking my tongue out childishly.
"Exactly," he nodded. I frowned, then smiled brightly.
"Okay!"
"Okay?" Leo seemed surprised by my agreement.
"Sure, why not? Let's get married!" I cried.
"W-what about your parents?" he asked. Oh yeah. Hmm.
"Well let's go tell them now, so they aren't surprised when they get the wedding invite," I said. I grabbed his hand and practically dragged him down the stairs and to my parent's door. All down the stairs, I babbled about the wedding.
"Are we having a big wedding? I assume your parents are paying for it, but I wouldn't want to impose by going extravagant. Are you Catholic? I sure hope so, because I am and my parents will not approve unless you're Catholic," I said, stopping and turning to face him. He assured me he was Catholic.
"Great, we'll have a church wedding. Family of course, and friends too. All friends, or only close ones? It doesn't matter, we'll figure this out. It's all rather short notice of course, since you've only got two months, but I since we just got engaged-" I stopped again, making Leo crash into my back. He obviously hadn't been paying much attention.
"Do you have a ring? I know you weren't necessarily planning on this, but I do hope you have an engagement ring. My mother will want to see it. She'll want the gushy details about your romantic proposal, so think about it. Should we say we've only known each other for a week? Or maybe we'll pretend it's been a couple months." I wasn't really letting Leo talk, and I realized this, so I paused to let him say something. He grinned warmly down at me.
"I do have a ring, and I will propose with the actual question," he said with amusement. I blushed. "As for how long we've known each other, let's just say it's long enough to want to get married." I nodded. My parents believed in love at first sight, so if they thought tonight was the first time I had seen Leo and already wanted to marry him, they would agree. As long as I loved him of course. I felt guilty, because although I was fond of Leo, I didn't necessarily love him. But I'm sure that would change, he's so strange, how could you not love him? It's only been a week in any case. By the wedding I'm sure I'll be in love.
