Chapter 4: Revelations

The next day at school was actually good. I finally got a girlfriend. I had no homework. We did easy stuff in all of my classes. And on the bus I found $20. Life was good.

My luck continued into about two weeks. I hadn't seen the strange man since the night where I puked in my room. Every night my dreams got better. And then my luck changed.

One night I was dreaming and I was at school sitting at lunch, when my girlfriend dumped me. Great. After lunch I was heading to my next class when I dropped my stuff and was late. After school detention. Amazing.

Then when I got home I ran immediately to the woods and puked when I saw the trees. Then I saw him again. That man. He was unmoving. Just staring at me. Almost.......examining me. Then he was gone.

And I woke up just in time to get dressed and jump on the bus. School was miserable. My girlfriend dumped me. I got after school detention. And as soon as I got home I ran to the woods and puked. Then as soon as I looked up I saw the strange man. And I realized my dream came true.

I rushed inside and did my loads of homework. By the time I was done it was time for dinner. I ate quickly, got a shower and hopped in bed. Dreamless sleep.

The next day I went to school. Just same boring day. Same routine. Except for after school. When I was outside waiting for my bus, a group of kids cornered me.

They started to make fun of me. Eventually I was getting the shit knocked out of me, when I remembered my dream. I looked up and pointed. Straight at the man. As the group of kids looked the dropped. Passed out. Puked. Went insane. Except for me. I stood my ground.

That was probably the stupidest thing I ever did. As I watched in horror the man stabbed every single kid there. And he dropped the bloody knife at my feet. The police were there in an instant and who did they blame? Me.

Well I obviously told them about the strange man. They probably thought I was insane. That's why I'm here. 32 years old. For 20 god damn years I've been here. Staring at the same white walls. Every day. But I've figured out a way to escape. The only wall guarding this place is old and chipped.

As soon as I am left outside for some fresh air, I will begin.
