Suddenly, before I even knew what I was doing, the gun was in my hand, cocked and pointing directly at his head, my fingers were trembling and this followed all the way up my arms. "Go on then kiddo, pull the trigger", he smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes. "You think you're some kind of hero?" He asked. The man pulled the barrel of the gun right into his chest and I was yanked forward. "Do it", whispered the security guard from the puddle of blood he lay in at my feet.
I looked down at the security guard. My legs were shaking from the nerves, I didn't know what to do. The security guard was slowly running out of air as he breathed heavily because of the pain where the criminal had shot him. He gave me a small nod. I closed my eyes with my legs trembling. Small tear drops fell from my eyes as I placed my finger on the trigger and pulled. It felt like the bullet was moving in slow motion but I knew I had made the right choice.
That's when I realised that the security guard had stopped making noises and was no longer moving. I kneeled down next to him, pulled out my phone, and just as I was about to call 911. I heard sirens getting louder and louder. People must've called the police when they heard the gunfire. The flashing lights burned my eyes so I turned away. That's when I heard a car door slam. I froze. "What if they were going to arrest me?" I thought. I felt someone yank both of my arms back and say "You're under arrest." "But, I didn't do anything wrong." I replied, "Then tell me, why are there two innocent looking people dead? Why are you the only one alive?" She kept asking me questions and I felt the need to answer, so I did. "Well, do you see that guy over there, in the mask?" I nodded in his direction, "He shot the security guard over there", I then nodded in his direction, "I don't know how I ended up with the gun but I shot the criminal so he couldn't cause any more harm to anyone." The police officer looked at me in an odd way and said "I think I might have to take you back to the station so you can explain this situation further with higher authorities."
She led me to the car and drove down to the police station. When we arrived the police officer led me to an office titled 'Deputy Chief', she opened the door and told me to go inside. Whilst I was explaining the entire situation to the Deputy Chief again I noticed a clock on the wall with the digital time in the center. It was 11:37pm, I didn't realise how tired I actually was until now.
"You're free to go." I heard the Deputy Chief say. And with that I got up and walked out of the office. A nice police officer stopped me and asked me if i wanted a ride home because of how late it was but, I turned it down, raced out the door and headed into the cold dark night.

Thanks for reading. I doubt this will even get 10 reads.
Comment if you would like more short stories by me because I have tons of ideas. Also, I'm working on a novel but that will take a lot of editing since I started writing it in 2013...lol .
If you notice any mistakes please comment them and I will change them.
