I hadn't even opened my eyes before my hand came into contact with the snooze button on my alarm clock.
Come on, Ashley. Get up. You do this every damn morning, I thought to myself. It was entirely true though. Although I don't think anyone likes getting up for school, I feel like I'm particularly lazier than most and struggle with it a lot.
Gradually I forced myself to get up and make my towards the bathroom to take a shower. As I passed the hallway mirror, I did a double-take and realized how dark the circles under my eyes were.
Hmm, maybe because I was up 'till 2 A.M. on the internet. Damn you internet, why must you be so addicting?
I finally reached the bathroom and turned on the water to a temperature close to the flames of hell.
Ahh, just the way I like it.
After taking a quick shower and wrapping my hair up into the towel, I made my way downstairs to eat some breakfast.
"You look awful," my mom commented.
"Thanks, mom. Really boosts my self-confidence," I responded sarcastically.
"Sorry honey, but how late were you up? You need to start going to bed earlier, it's not good for you."
"I know, I know. I'm trying to, it's just a bad habit," I said back while pouring myself some Frosted Flakes.
"Hurry and finish getting ready or you're going to be late. I gotta go, so I'll see you later. Have a good day at school, sweetie!" My mom said before giving me a kiss on the cheek and walking out the door.
I headed back upstairs and finished getting ready. After grabbing my bag and feeding my fish, I picked up my keys, got in my car, and headed to school.
As I was walking to my locker, my best friend Trinity fell into step with me.
"Will you shoot me please?" She asked me.
"Only if you leave another bullet for me to shoot myself afterwards," I responded laughing.
"God bless, I hate Mondays," she said while once we reached my locker.
"Agreed."
Suddenly her face lit up and she sporadically started hitting my arm, "Ooh! Ooh! Guess what?! Guess what I heard from Morgan and the girls today?"
"What? What! Quit hitting me! What'd you hear?" I asked slapping her hand away.
"Morgan lost her virginity to Brad Michaels on Saturday night," she told me.
My face instantly dropped. Great, that leaves just me. I'm now officially the only virgin left out of my friends.
"Hey, hey! Don't get sad! It's okay Ashley, you'll find your guy soon!"
Nothing Trinity was saying was making me feel any better, "You're lucky you and James have been soulmates since Kindergarten. You don't have to worry about some manwhore taking your virginity."
"Yeah, I suppose. Ooh! I have an idea," she said, her face lighting up yet again.
"No, no, no, I don't wanna hear it," I told her while heading to my first class.
"I think you'll like it," she said smirking.
My eyes peeled into slits as I stared her down, "Fine, what is it?"
"Why don't you ask Blake McGrath to do it? He's so nice, Ash! He's attractive, muscular, smart... and I've heard that he's got a big package, if you uh, get what I mean," Trinity said while her face turned into a deep shade of red.
"There is no way in HELL I would ever ask Blake to take my virginity. He's so hot. And I'm just not, T. He probably doesn't even know my name."
"Who cares? That's the whole point right? No strings attached. Just get him to do it and then bam, no more worries," she protested.
I had to admit, her plan seemed great. Blake would be the perfect candidate, not to mention how skilled he must be in that area. It didn't seem like a bad idea.
"You like my idea, don't you?" she said with a huge smile plastered on her face.
"Yes, I suppose it's not a BAD idea."
"YES! Yes! He's so perfect, Ash, I don't think you'll regret this."
I sat in my desk fiddling with my pencil. I had so many questions running through my mind.
"What if he doesn't want to? What if he thinks I'm too inexperienced or geeky for him? How am I even supposed to ask him?" I started firing questions out in complete panic mode.
"Whoa, whoa, chill. First of all, no matter how sweet and adorable they come across to be, no guy rejects free sex. It's practically in the manual. Two, he's too nice and has probably taken enough girls' first times to know how to deal with inexperienced sex. And third, you just wait until he's done with football practice and wait out by his truck for him," she said trying to calm me down.
"Yeah, like that's totally not creepy at all," I said shaking my head at her.
"Whatever, it's all I can think of. The bell's about to ring, I gotta go. I'll see you at lunch, kay?"
"Yeah, I'll see you then," I told her.
I began drawing little doodles in my notebook waiting to get through each class period which seemed to be agonizingly slower than usual.

Finally after getting through the day, Trinity met me at my locker again.
"So, do you think you're going to do it?" She immediately asked me.
I had honestly thought long and hard about it during the day, and listening to the girls' excitement at lunch about Morgan sealed the deal. I was going to do it.
"Yeah... I think I am," I told Trinity, "I'm gonna do it!"
Holy shit, I'm actually going to do it.

Romance"I-I don't know about this, Blake," I told him in a scared tone. "Listen, Ashley. Everything's just fine, it only hurts the first time for a little bit and then it gets so much better, I promise. I'll be extremely slow and gentle, okay? You said you...
