Skulls amd Roses

11 1 1

Roses and bones one in the same
Born in the sun together we came.

Silent seeds bursting to bloom
To then fade and decay to make more room.

Ashes to ashes dust to dust
Life to flourish will parish as such.

Let it pass - let it fade like the lives we made.

Forces changes roses die
Seasons change wind in time.

Storm clouds gather from across the sea
Lightning strikes granting relief.

Inner peace is reached, rain begins to fall
Wash away the farrow awaking the broken, too tired to call.

Who called these dead to dance
Their worn out daydream a cheesy passing romance?

What of the dead leaves clinging to their cherished trees?
Storms thunder- no wonder

Lightning strikes a sullen sky
Now, at last. I don't ask why.
