Not Good Enough

Compare the tears in my eyes

To a drip of rain in the ocean

That falls from the skies

In slow motion

A warm heart winters away

An iceberg of the soul

A frozen sleigh

Abandoned at the Pole

Summer loving come and gone

A kiss festers on the cheek

Infecting the one

The meek, the weak

As the sun goes down

Temperatures plummet

My frozen crown

Upon its summit

Now compare my tears

To a worldwide flood

And in all my years

I'll never be good enough
