Underwater Romance - Merman!Haruka x Gou

My savior

The waves crashed against the rocks as Gou struggled to swim back to the shore. She was swept under by a wave, before she could even think her mouth was full of water. Sinking slowly Gou closed her eyes, everything went black and slowly she lost all feeling.

-Unknown P.O.V-

That Human, it's in trouble. I should help it, shouldn't I. Swimming as fast as I could so I could get to the human. I took it into my arms and then started swimming to the shore. Setting the human on shore, I took a short moment to look at it. It appears to be a female and a fragile one at that. I tired to remember what I saw humans do when something like this happened, argh why can't I remember. It took a second but I remembered, carefully I start to press on her chest. 1,2,3 , etc. I continued to press but it doesn't seem to be working, what did they do? Oh right, carefully I open her mouth and then I place my mouth on top of hers. I breath in and out steadily, hoping it'd work. Pulling away she starts to spluttering. Thank god, I was worried that I was too late.

-End of P.O.V-

Gou coughed up the water that she had swallowed and started breathing normally again. Drowsily she opened her ruby red eyes. Before her she saw a handsome male with black hair, glittering blue eyes and a look of relief. "W-who are you?" she asked softly. His expression suddenly changed to a worried one as he quick turned around and crawled away back to the water. Once he turned Gou saw his tail, her jaw dropped. He's a merman. Before she knew it he was gone. "Gou!" shouted a familiar male voice. Quickly Gou turned around to see her older brother Rin. "Are you okay?" he asked kneeling beside her. She nodded with a vacant look on her face. "Come on, let's get you home" Rin said giving her his jacket. She got up and walked with her brother, not he way home she explained everything. Rin seemed to understand, though he told her not to dwell on it.
