After the disaster the Frightful Four- or three, I guess- had created in our school Peter and I kind of felt really bad. Kind of responsible for it.
If we would've been able to stop them earlier, they wouldn't have damaged half of the school and no one would've been hurt.
Fury's words were on our mind all day.
I offer you both the chance to do better, to really learn about responsibility.
So we decided to give it at least a try.
We went home, told our parents we were alright and then said, we'd help clear up everything in school.
The helicarrier was pretty low again this afternoon, I guess Fury knew all the time we'd come, no matter if sooner or later.
As we jumped onto the helicarrier, a loud voice came up.
Intruder alert - Intruder alert - Intruder alert - Intruder alert
A bunch of weapons came out of the ground and shot us. We were extremely surprised and had to avoid and jump really fast to not get shot.
It's not easy avoiding so many shots, while knowing, that if one of them hits you when being unprepared... well, that then- you could even die.
After a few minutes we were awfully exhausted. Something like 20 red laser lights pointed at us. No chance to escape.
We got our hands up.
We looked around and after a few seconds Nick Fury appeared and pushed a button that stopped the alarm. The lasers switched off and the weapons disappeared into the ground again.
I slightly relaxed, but only slightly. Who knew when the next death-trap would go off? I would not put anything past Fury.
Peter smiled. He took off his mask, saluted and shouted: "Your friendly neighborhood ultimate Spiderman Team reporting for duty, Sir!"
I took my mask off aswell and looked at Peter annoyed and weirdly.
"Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D., Spiderman and Spiderwoman. I hope you'll survive the experience."
Now it was Peter looking at me weirdly.
We followed Fury inside and he showed us around nearly the whole helicarrier. Peter was awfully nervous, he could hide it from anyone but not from me. After half an hour we got into the wing where the agents were being trained.
Fury showed us the way into one of the training rooms and then went out of it. Through some loudspeakers he told us about our training.
"This exercise will gage your ability in a fight with many attackers at one time. You have 60 seconds to put them down... Captain America did it in 10.", Fury announced.
"This is it. The test to prove if we can make it as real super heroes.", Peter whispered excitingly.
"Peter, we already are real super heroes!", I said in a normal loud voice, in an undertone of annoyance.
He wasn't really sure, why exactly I was so annoyed, and looked at me confusedly.
"Get ready now!", I shouted.
Exactly one second later 25 S.H.I.E.L.D. robots entered the room from above.
Without letting us stare at them in blank astonishment they started attacking us.
Right when Peter shot a web to swing onto the ceiling a robot grabbed him and threw him onto the ground. One after another they jumped onto Peter until it was all a big heap.
