It's Not Over (Sequel To The Wrong Path)

Pain to Cure

     We walked for days even though we had no idea where we were going. Just to keep things clear Kadi is feeling worst everyday but Seth and Tony keeps her cheered up. All of us get into fights once in awhile because of Kadi. Nic, Gracey, Kyle, Aris, and Meredith say we should just leave Kadi because she is just slowing us down but Seth, Tony, Luke, and I say we should keep her with us she deserve freedom cause she also fought with us through this whole thing. Of course she stayed with all of us but at times she couldn't even walk at all so some, who were on her side, of us would take turns to help her. At nights she would even scream in pain. Nic would always keep on telling us that we should leave her behind and we would always keep going against it. We all knew he was just trying to keep all of us safe.
We all fell asleep in the pain flat sand. I woke up hearing booms and crashes. I looked up seeing a bunch of lightening bolts coming at us. I hurried and woke up the others. We all ran towards some building ahead and Luke helped Kadi run while I made sure everyone was ok. We were really close till the lightening finally reached us. I fell to the ground hearing the lightening crash near me, so there was a long screech in my ear. I looked up and saw Seth got hit by a bolt. He just laid on the floor so Nic and I ran back to get him. As soon as we got inside everyone was fine beside Seth and Kadi. We tried to wake up Seth but he wouldn't budge. "Seth come on bud wake up, wake up!" Nic said screaming at him while shaking him. Nothing happened and everyone fell silent looking at one another until there was a loud gasp of air it was Seth. "What happened" Seth looked at us confused but we just laughed a bit and helped him stand up. Kadi ran into Seth's arms hugging him.
We stood there waiting to see where we were, it was dark, so I turned on my flashlight. I shined my light beam forward and there was a crank screaming at us so we back up and there was another and apparently we were surrounded but a bunch of cranks chained up. "Seems like you already met our guard dogs." I saw a shadowy figure so I shined my light towards it. The it was a girl and she seemed to have no trouble to walk past the cranks. They were up in her face but they still couldn't reach her. "Well follow me unless you want to sleep with these cranks" the strange girl said. We followed behind her and she took us somewhere else. She took a look at all of us and saw Kadi holding on to her stomach. She walked towards her and asked "What happened to her?" Everyone stayed silent until Nic spoke up "Depends on who's asking." "Oh did I forget to introduce myself. My names Brenda, now are you guys going to tell me who you guys are and what is up with her?" "Ok first I'm Jenny, that's Seth, Kadi, Luke, Aris, Gracey, Meredith, Kyle, Tony, and that's Nic our leader." "Ok you answered my first question now answer the second what's up with with her?" "We don't need to tell you anything just yet. We just met you how do we know you can be trusted!" Seth said standing in front of Kadi. "Whoa calm down there lover boy. I just wanted to see if there was anything wrong with her so we can help." "What do you mean by we. I only see one person here and it's you" I said speaking up. "I will tell you until you answer. I promise I won't hurt her" she said smiling. Kadi nodded and approved that I can answer. "She got attacked by some cranks and her pain is growing each day we were walking" I said making sure she understood what I just said. She nodded and left we followed until she stopped in a room with a guy in it. "Welcome to my hideout. We are glade you made it through the storm" the strange man said. "My name is Jorge and I already see you met Brenda" he said without even looking at us. "Where are we, and do you have a cure to heal someone up" Nic said going in front of all of us. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't. You just need to answer this question, where did you come from."
