Ambre woke up to the sun shining in through my window, my creme color comforter spread out into the floor. Today was the day that Ambre had to meet her soon-to-be fiancé, and all she was hoping was luck to be on her side. She proceeded to slide out of her soft bed and dance her way to her big yet crowded closet. She searched through her closet, soon deciding on a simple pink shirt and light denim jeans to fit with her strawberry-blonde hair. She took a seat at her vanity, almost snarling at her tangled curls. "Fan-fucking-tastic, just what I wanted today," She then spent half an hour combing the tangled curls out of her hair and re-wetted her hair to let it naturally curl. (A/N: The true struggles of curly hair.)
After an hour full of anger, the red-head made her way downstairs to run into her parents screaming at one another for the five-hundredth time."Awh honey, you look absolutely beautiful," Her mother said with a smile, walking towards her with a genuine smile, in which Ambre backed up."No, don't touch me, I'm being forced to marry someone I don't even know, you have earned my hate," Ambre snarled, not expecting her father's actions next.
"Don't you dare speak to your mother like that." He said, gritting his words through his teeth. "Well, stop being a control freak over my life then!" Ambre proceeded to scream, her anger only growing.
"I am not being a control freak, I'm only doing what I think is best for you" He whispered.
"What you think is best for me? The one thing you could do for me is not cheating and lying to everyone about your whereabouts!" She yelled, only to be silenced by her father's words. "You will be married, and that's the end of it! I will not argue with you any longer!", and with that, she stormed out of her house, and to the car, about to blow a fuse.
After a long drive to an unfamiliar house, what was assumed to belong to the candidate for the arranged marriage, they were soon standing at the door, her mother's arm wrapped around her shoulder as the door opening, revealing an older man and woman who were smiling. "Amy!" The woman said excitedly, bringing Ambre's mother into a comfortable embrace. Ambre took it in her to walk into the house, looking around before her eyes fell on a dirty blond male who seemed to be texting someone. He soon noticed her presence and he glanced up, an almost despaired look on his face, but he quickly masked it as he stood up, making his way over to her.
"So you must be the infamous Ambre that I've heard about." He said as he held out his hand to shake it. Ambre looked down at his hand, before proceeding to shake it."Surely you haven't heard that much about me, I should be saying that line to you." She muttered, and he raised an eyebrow."Actually, you wouldn't. I've been far a better person than you, Ambre Jacobs."Ambre snarled at his comment, pulling her hand away from his.
"Just my luck, getting stuck with an inconsiderate asshole like you."
Luke rolled his eyes before scoffing. "Oh please, I think I would rather be stuck with con artist than I would be stuck with, as people told me, a 'selfish and manipulative cunt," It took Ambre everything not to jump at him and wrap her arms around his neck and choke him to death.
Just before they could go at each other's throat again, their parents walked back into the house, and Liz clasped her hands together, a smile on her face. "The guests will arrive soon, so please act appropriately and do not cause a scene for the sake of our guests."
And with that, the two shot each other a glare, already hating one another.
***************
There was a large amount of chatter, and apparently, 100 guests had shown up. Including both Luke and Ambre's families, friends, and even past lovers for an odd reason. Luke was currently standing with his three best friends, Ashton constantly glaring at who Luke was supposed to marry.
"I don't like her Luke," He mumbled, but Luke still caught on. "I'm not the biggest fan of her either, but this is my parents doing, not mine." Once Luke had spoken his words, Calum immediately spoke up. "And if they truly cared about your happiness, they wouldn't be setting you up with someone that obviously is a psychopath." And that's when Michael went to speak up. "We can't jump to conclusions, they're both angry about their parents' decisions, but I agree with Ash and Cal, if your parents cared about your happiness, they would not be setting someone you up that no one likes."
Their conversation was soon cut off by the sudden sound of a spoon being tapped against the glass, Liz standing on a table with a smile. "Thank you all for coming today, I am proud to pronounce that we will be having a newly engaged couple soon, one that all might like.", Calum leaned towards Luke, gently nudging his ribs. "That's your chance Luke, don't propose to her and you can get out of this mess,"
Luke looked at Calum with a small sigh, patting his shoulder and making his way towards Ambre, before he got on one knee, a fake smile on his face before he opened the box. "Though we have known each other for a short amount of time, I have felt as if you are truly the one. Ambre Jacobs, will you do the honor of being with me the rest of my life?", There were gasps heard, before Ambre returned the fake smile, nodding her head enthusiastically. "Yes.", There were screams and cheers heard, and Luke slipped the ring onto her finger before he stood up and hugged her.
"I still fucking hate your guts you know.", She muttered, a soft hum escaping Luke's throat. "The feelings are returned."
