Anita was born to a young mother on a cold windy night at Saint Marry's hospital. Some say her story is odd some say not true and some say simply fascinating. What you think of her story is for you to decide.
Anita came out small. Bound for an orphanage her mother gave her all she had, life and a golden coin.
Anita was put in a wooden crib with two things, a wool blanket and a golden coin. The cries of the motherless baby echoed through the orphanage. A newly winged fairy heard the baby's cries as she flew out of the wind. She approached the old orphanage and found the new born.
The fairy wanted to calm the baby. So she made her a small child destined to do great things. Now when I say small I mean the size of a grown mans fist.
She also gave her the golden coin forever. Stuck on the top of her head the golden coin hung somberly. Destined to be great the young fairy decided for this was her first spell. It was also an tricky one. Proud the fairy flew away without paying attention to the fine print.
Anita learned the fine print as she went through out her days. For that night a baby went missing at the old orphanage just down the street. No one cared to see the truth in Anita's curse. All they saw was a gold coin and not what was underneath. Anita was put into a pocket of a busy nurse. The nurse used the coin to buy a new dress to flash off to a man she fancied. From there to a banker, to a farmer, to a seamstress, to a young boy. No one could see Anita for they only looked on the outside of things not the inside. Sadly she would sit in her spot crying a silent cry. Bearing the weight of cursed gold. No one would look at the tears that fell. No one would look at the sad little girl. No one would look at Anita. The young boy kept the coin for many years. He grew to be a dashing business man. Anita enjoyed watching him grow into man hood. For she stayed the same age for what seemed like eternity. An eternity to her and a blink of an eye to everyone else.
The young man one day found peace so he decided rashly to throw the golden coin from child hood into a fountain. With it went Anita. Torn from her days on the dresser and torn from reality. As she sunk she wished one thing, to be loved.
A passing gentleman saw the sinking. He rushed to her aid. Coughing and a sputtering the girl looked at the darling man. For he was young and had a kind eye. She asked if he could see her.
"Why certainly, he replied, who couldn't? "
"No one sees me" she spoke in a whisper.
He cooed the small girl and took her home to his wooden house with a straw roof. He was a humble man Anita decided. She liked him. Anita stayed with the man for many months and noticed one thing she began to age. The months became a year.
"Nineteen I am" she told the dashing man who went by Charlie.
" time for your present then" he spoke to her.
"I can't wait!" Anita said as she stood on her tippy toes.
Charlie leaned over and kissed her. Just like that the magic was broken. The coin had fallen and she became the size of Charlie.15 years later
A mother Anita had become to a beautiful baby girl with golden locks. Charlie had worked hard to build them a home of stone made with the real magic, love.
