It was a cold and windy, my parents left me the mountain for the weekend. " Max we're going to leave soon do you want us to drive you to the mountain or do you want to." my mom yelled as I got ready " I'll drive myself, I was thinking on having Emily go with me so I wasn't there alone." I yelled back at her. " Ok that sounds fine," she went into a whisper " and also I would mind if you had a couple of boys over to, you can throw a party and we will be back in a week." then she gave me a hug and left with my dad who was sitting in the car already. I decided to text in the group chat we had going.
M: yo do you guys want to go up to the log this weekenkend ?
S: yea sounds fun ;)
B: I'm down
V: sure why not I have nothing going on this weekend
E: yea I'll go
G: ok I'm in if you guys are
M: ok do you guys want me to pick you up or do you want to drive yourself
G: I'll drive myself
B: same
E: Sam do you want to drive with me?
S: yea why not
V: can you pick me up max?
M: yea definitely

I went to go pick up Victoria. As I drove to get her, Sam called me " Max are you okay? MAX!!!" his words just went through me and my mouth was moving but no words would come out. " Max I'll meet you at Vicky's" he said and hung up. " that was odd" I said to myself. I made it to Vicky's with no more weird occurrences. Sam was there acting suspicious. i get out of my car and walk over to him and ask " sam are you ok?" he says nothing and pulls me into a hug. Not long after that we started to drive up the the lodge to spend a week there. Me Vicky and Sam all got there around 8:30 pm and get our stuff unpacked and we settled in and not long after us was Ben and Griffin and they picked their rooms and sat down stairs wit us as we talked the rest of the guys showed up and get their things unpacked and came down stairs to talk, after and hour I said " I'm going to go hiking, anyone wanna go with me " I say as I put on my shoes. Ben yells out to me as I'm walking out the door " don't go, you'll get killed,or eaten, or or" I yelled back at him " hopefully in that order " as I walk out the door. As I'm walking I take in the view. As I walk I hear footsteps behind me, so I walk faster and the footsteps get faster. I start into a run. I look behind me to see Sam , " you jackass, you almost scared me to death " I yell at him and I push him, he falls into the snow. " what was that for, I went to hike too " he started laughing, I help him and, we start to walk together.
