(Alrighty! We're at Chapter 5 now! ^o^ Kind of had a writer's block thingy, so I ended up rewriting this multiple times! Hehe, I hope it's not too bad though! ^^' -------------------------~SilverDiamonde07~)

Chapter 5:

Naruto and Sakura strolled through the streets, chattering away. It was Saturday, the day after they had paid a visit to the Akatsuki head base.

It was a lovely morning. The sky sparkled azure, pearly white clouds floating here and there in the sky. Birds flittered from tree to tree, filling the air with birdsong and the quiet fluttering of delicate wings.

It was indeed going to be a beautiful start to the weekend.

The pair had decided to drop by the Hyuuga household and say hello to Hinata. They knew that, being the heiress to the Hyuuga assets, she lived with the main family, unlike Neji who had lived alone in his own apartment for convenience.

Nearing their destination, Naruto couldn't help but gaze in awe at the sheer impressiveness of the house. The Hyuuga's had a massive front garden, bordered with tall iron gates painted white. Hedges lined the outer area, and there was a gorgeous fountain placed in the middle of the garden, spouting sparkling clear water. Sweetly scented and well tended flowerbeds were scattered here and there, adding colour and variety to the background.

The structure itself was spectacular all on its own. Spanning three stories high, 'house' is an understatement. 'Mansion' is a more suitable term for it. Beautiful arched windows lined the concrete brick walls of the house, with a massive balcony overlooking the front. There were a number of stone steps leading up to the large double doors made out of dark durable wood.

"Naruto! Wake up, no time to daydream!" Sakura waved a hand in the blond's face and smiled. Naruto snapped out of his trance, grinned sheepishly at his friend, and they both proceeded to enter the gates.

A short while later they rang the bell, and waited.

The door opened an inch, quietly. A young woman poked her head out. She was one of the many maids working in the household, as indicated by her attire. Recognising the teens, she smiled.

"Oh! Are you here to see Miss Hinata? Come in, come in!" The maid chirped cheerfully, opening the door wider without waiting for an answer and ushered the duo inside, leading them to the massive living room.

"Do sit down! I'll go and call the Mistress. She'll be down soon!" The woman gestured towards a leather sofa, and swiftly disappeared through one of the many doors placed in the large living space.

Naruto and Sakura gingerly sat down and eyed the place, fascinated.

The living room was enormous, as expected. Detailed paintings worth a fortune lined the walls, as well as exquisite tapestries. Sparkling in the sunlight, expensive glass chandeliers hung from the ceiling. The massive windows were left open to let in the cool breeze, the heavy red velvet curtains drawn back and fastened to the side. There was a large rectangular glass table to one side of the room, accompanied by a matching set of eight chairs.

The room was designed in an old fashioned manner, but looked modern as well. Elegant and refined, the room resembled one of those that are usually only ever seen in catalogues and magazines.

Sakura was looking when her sharp emerald eyes fell on the coffee table in front of her. On it was yesterday's newspaper, folded neatly, among other things.

She picked it up and straightened it. The headlines screamedat her face: "Hyuuga Head's Nephew Found in Pool of Blood, Dead."

She was about to flip it open and read when a figure entered.
