Prologue.
Jasper Blackwell is a freshman student at Marlboro High School. He lives with his older brother Silas as well as his mom and dad. Jasper's like any other teenager, except for the fact that he doesn't communicate much with the people at school.

Jasper is described as an, "Anti-social, shady guy, and a weirdo" at school. He knows what everyone says behind his back, he's always known this. He had friends in kindergarten, but they all drifted away as they grew up. But, that's life isn't it?

As Jasper goes through his freshman year, he realizes that people hardly listen to what he has to say. He realizes as well that people never notice he's there.

Jasper's high school year is flying by, with no one to talk to. He finds himself alone and secluded from the rest of the world, but one day a strange girl talks to him. She notices his existence, but who was she? Did they go to school together? Jasper was sure he had never met this girl, somehow she had known his name. She knew how he felt. Jasper felt something for once.

But who was this strange, strange girl?
