'Where were they?' Olivia thought to herself pacing frantically up and down the corridor, brushed her hair behind her ears again.

Her parents had left her there a week ago, to go off on a case and hadn't come back since. Admittedly, since they were hunters, their job didn't exactly have a precise end time, but she was still worried.

Taking a deep breath, she reached into her pocket and grabbed her phone, scrolling down to the number her parents had left her in case of emergency. But she couldn't press it, she could wait for a few more days, she was 15, she could cook and go to the store and grab some supplies, right?

But if her parents were in trouble, then she had to try and do something she thought. Walking into her parents' room she opened up the cupboard and found a variety of weapons, she stuffed a variation into a large bag, in the hope that it might be enough and went back to her room to grab the gun that was under her pillow. She took a deep breath, tucked it into her pocket, before shutting the door to the house, and any sense of normalcy she had left.

She knew where her parents had been headed, she just had to find a way to get there. The train station would probably be the fastest, she walked quickly there, and bought a ticket before getting on the train. It was only a 10 minute journey but it felt like a lifetime. What was she even doing? She barely even knew how to fight, how was she going to save her parents? And what if they weren't even... She stopped herself, she couldn't think like that, she just couldn't. She heard the automated voice announce that they had arrived and she got off the train and left the station.

Her parents had last called her 2 days ago, to say that they should be finished up soon, the case was almost cleared up. But all she knew was there had been a load of mysterious deaths in the local hotel. She'd have to start there, see if anyone had seen her parents lately.

She walked up to a lady and asked whether she knew where the hotel was, she pointed her off in the right direction and soon she was there. Stepping through the doors, Olivia felt a wave of panic, what if she wasn't even in the right place? She took a calming breath and walked up to the desk, where a receptionist sat.

'Excuse me do you know if..." She trailed off as she realised her parents wouldn't have used their real names, maybe they'd pretended to be FBI? It was worth a shot at least.

"Do you know if any FBI have been here lately?"

"As a matter of fact yes, why do you ask?"

"Er, I'm just their director's daughter, he just wanted me to check up on how they were getting on, they're new you see"

"Um well okay, I think they were investigating the deaths round here, last time I saw them was 2 days ago."

"Any idea where they could have gone?"

"Well, they just asked me for the details of each victim, I gave the details and they left, I haven't seen them since, I'm sorry"

"Oh, it's no problem, I'll just see if we could find them another way" Olivia said and walked out of the hotel. Where could they have gone? If they were safe surely they would have called at least, maybe whatever they were hunting had gotten to them.

She thought for a moment, maybe solving the case could lead her to her parents? Where could she start? If the victims all came from the same hotel then maybe there was a ghost or something? She saw a library across the road and headed in to access the computers.

After a few minutes of research, she found that the hotel had been built in 1888, and knew all about the past owners, but nothing seemed to indicate a spirit had been there.
