The wind rustled through the trees, it was cold against my skin. Making me shiver. The moon was high in the sky and full. I was sitting out in the clearing; I don’t know how I even got there. I was asleep, and then next thing I knew I was in a clearing; shivering. With snow falling around me, and I was shirtless and no shoes on.

When I went to bed it wasn’t snowing. I want to go home, but I can’t seem to find the strength to get up. Its like I’m stuck here, in this one place. I’m so cold, so cold. I want to go home, I actually miss my family.

“Gabriel.” I heard my name being called. It was a women’s voice, she sounded sad, and desperate. I didn’t dare turn around, I didn’t want to see her face. I couldn’t.

“Gabriel, please look at me.” She begged to me, her voice was full of desperation. It was hard to risk not to look at her. I wanted to help her out, I wanted to at least talk to her, but I couldn’t. I knew in my head that I couldn’t.

“Gabriel!” Her voice was sterner, demanding almost. I tried to turn my head to look at her, but I couldn’t move. I wanted to look at her, but I can’t!

“Gabriel! Damn it look at me!” She screamed at me.

“I can’t! I can’t move god damn it!” I screamed back, my voice was cold and hard. My anger was building; I was tired of being yelled at, by someone I didn’t even know. She had no right to yell at me. As my anger grew, so did the snow fall. more fell; piling up around me. But I was still sitting on grass. There was no snow landing within three feet of me, it was like my body heat went up a few…ok more then a few degrees. The snow would land on me and it would melt as quickly as it landed.

“Please don’t yell at me. Calm down, please.” The girl went back to the whole desperation voice, with sadness laced in to it.

“What do you want from me? I don’t even know you!” I screamed at her, I didn’t care that her voice was sad or anything, she screamed at me. She yelled my name, and demanded things from me.

“You know me. If you saw my face you would know me.” Her voice was even, and unemotional. She had the strangest mood swings. What is happening around her? I want to go back home, I just want to wake up in my room. And then get ready for school that I have to endure for the day. I want to see my parents again. Why did this have to happen today, today was my eighteenth birthday.

“Gabriel, doesn’t this all seem familiar.” She asked me, God why is she still talking! Forcing my will to get up, I stood on shaky legs. The cold night air was numbing me to my core. I couldn’t feel my legs or my arms. I was slowly freezing to death out here. I didn’t like it.

“Where am I?” I asked her, I didn’t turn around to address her face to face.

“In the woods.”

“Where is my house?”

“Go straight and you will find it. I guess you will be leaving. I’ll see you later then Gabriel. Go home and get warm.” Her voice was seductive. Shaking my head, I walked in the direction that she told me, I didn’t even know if she was telling me the truth or not. I just wanted to get home.

The snow melted away with each step in it, but it did nothing to keep me warm. My legs throbbed from the walking, and it felt like hours, but I knew only minutes have passed. Falling against a tree, my legs wouldn’t carry me anymore. I will die out here. I just know it. If I can’t even walk, how am I going to get home.
