"Bocchan, it's time to get up."

I rolled over and buried my head back into the lace and satin overstuffed pillow. I would've liked nothing more than to fall back asleep, but I knew I had to get up. I had a meeting with a French businessman today. So, I rolled onto my back despite my grogginess and sat up, my elbows supporting me from behind. I simply watched as my butler flung open the curtains, letting golden sunlight bathe the once dark room and make it glow.

He then strode over to the cart that stood in the doorway and lifted a silver tray from on top, carrying it gracefully over to me and setting it at my bedside. A porcelain teacup with steam rising from it and a breakfast pastry were lain on a folded napkin on the tray. "Today we have French lilac tea and a French lemon crème pastry in honor of our guest." Sebastian informed me as he grabbed a white undershirt out of my wardrobe.

I threw the bedsheets off my legs and swung myself to sit on the side of my bed. Sebastian walked over with my outfit over his arm and knelt to one knee, beginning to unbutton my nightshirt. I held my arms out as he pulled the sleeves over them. "Any news from London?" I asked him.

He smirked and finished tightening my neck tie before grabbing another tray from the bottom of the cart. On it was a single letter with a red wax seal officiating it. I lifted the French tea from its saucer and took a careful sip. It was sickeningly sweet. I frowned, set it back down, and grabbed the envelope off the tray Sebastian was holding out. My eyes narrowed as I saw on outstretched spider imprinted onto the scarlet seal. I instantly seethed, "Alois Trancy..."

After my discovery about Trancy's innocence involving my predecessors' deaths, I had no use in having a vendetta with him, but he was still an irritating, cowardly swine. I ripped open the seal and pulled out the parchment eagerly, wondering, "What could he possibly want?"

I could see Sebastian's silky black hair out of the top of my vision as I unfolded it.

"Ciel, Earl Phantomhive,--

On behalf of Mr. Trancy, I've been given the duty of informing you that your fiancée, Elizabeth, is currently staying at the Trancy Estate."

My hands shook with anger. "Bocchan, would you like me to read the rest of the letter aloud? I'm afraid you appear quite flustered."

I looked up at Sebastian, whose smirk had grown wider. "I'm not in the mood for your games, Sebastian. I'll read it myself," I growled at him.

"Mr. Trancy graciously invites you to join Elizabeth and himself for tea at five o'clock sharp this evening.

His humble butler, on behalf of

Alois Trancy"

I crushed the letter in my hands and threw it as hard as I could at the opposite wall. Sebastian walked over calmly and smoothed it out. "May I?" he asked.

I waved him forward, frustrated. I simply watched as his eyes scanned the page quickly. "Shall we go, Bocchan?" He looked up and asked.

I nodded stiffly. He smirked, "You are kindhearted, saving your fiancée for her mere comfort."

I frowned deeper. "I'm not. It's only my duty as a gentleman. I won't have my family name soiled with such a petty thing. I'm doing it for myself."

He just let out a small laugh. "Very well."

I got up and Sebastian handed me my cane. Suddenly, a loud yell resounded through the hall and I sighed, "Get them in order, Sebastian. And make sure Bardroy isn't in the kitchen."
