TREACHEROUS - NOAH MILLS REPORTED MISSING AFTER LEAVING GIRLFRIEND TAYLOR SWIFT
Formula One racer Noah Mills is officially declared 'missing' by the New York Police Department after he was reported to be seen 'fleeing' his fiancée's home during the late hours of Friday night. A red maserati was allegedly spotted leaving the WoolworthMansion at approximately midnight by neighbours, who said they heard the couple arguing a few minutes earlier.
Mills' fiancée, none other than songwriter and musician Taylor Swift, has given her account of events to the NYPD, saying that an argument caused Mills to end their relationship and depart from the house in a rage without warning or inclination of his whereabouts. Swift has told Us Weekly that she was left 'heartbroken' as she watched her boyfriend of six months drive off into the night.
A search party was dispatched the next day, and police discovered Mills' maserati at the bottom of a dead-end street in downtown New York, with the driver nowhere to be seen. Police are confident that Mills purposely abandoned the vehicle to cover his tracks, and is currently on the run. They are now in the process of contacting any relatives or acquaintances which may know of his current whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Swift is left to pick up the pieces of the mess Mills made as she is once again alone, betrayed and broken-hearted in her mansion, crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls. With the engagement undoubtedly called off, how long will it be before Swift is ready to date again?
Sean tosses the newspaper aside as he takes a sip of his morning cappuccino. It was only 8AM, but the city below his office was alive and buzzing with commuters and tourists weaving between yellow taxi cabs on busy streets.
He turns from the window back to his desk; a mess of glossy tabloids, article clippings and notepads. Sean had been a journalist at the New York Times for almost six months, and yet he still hadn't broken onto the pages of the world-renowned media stage. He had written a number of articles, mostly concerning the bland topics of what Kobe Bryant has for breakfast or a list of Jennifer Lawrence's most quirky quotes of 2014. The subjects of his articles were uninteresting to both him and his audience, and thus his bosses were considering his redundancy on the floor above that very day.
"Morning, Mr O'Pry." a tall slim blonde enters the office.
This is Sean's assistant, Karlie Kloss; a young woman who had served the New York Times long before his arrival. She was looking to enter the world of journalism herself. However, according to her, the white male bosses which operated the industry branded her a 'dumb blonde' and dismissed her as talentless before she even applied for the job. Despite this, Karlie refused to give up, and joined the press as an assistant. Sure, it wasn't what she wanted, but she was confident that with a few years experience under her belt, the fat cats at the top may be willing to give her another shot.
"Hey Karlie." Sean grumbles as she places another file onto his desk. "What do you have for me today?"
"Mr Kahn wants you to organise these notes for him for this afternoon." Karlie debriefs him. "And if I were in your position, I'd get on it right away."
She turns on her heel and struts to the door. "Before I go, can I get you anything? A coffee refill? Or perhaps you want a copy of the jobs vacancies for downstairs?"
"Very funny, Karlie." Sean grins sarcastically. "You think I should start clearing my desk already?"
"No, of course not." Karlie retracts her teasing tone. "I think you're a great journalist with a lot of potential. It's just a shame those guys upstairs are too blind to see it."
"I just need inspiration..." Sean sighs. "I need a story that no one has ever done before...something that will make me stand out..."
Karlie marches back to the desk. "What you need to do is prove yourself. You need to show that you have the guts and determination to be a top journalist. You need a story which no one has even dared to attempt...one with risks."
"What do you mean? Like uncovering a celebrity drug scandal?"
"No, they already did that with Lance Armstrong." Karlie dismisses him as she perches at the end of his cluttered desk. "You need something much juicier."
She lifts the Us Weekly from the pile of newspapers and examines the headline. "'Noah Mills Reported Missing After Leaving Girlfriend Taylor Swift'...sounds like a story right there."
"The police are already conducting the search for Noah Mills." Sean shakes his head. "I don't wanna go getting in the way of the cops."
"Not the cops, silly! Taylor Swift!"
"What about her?"
"Do you know anything about her?" Karlie exclaims. "This is the same woman who reportedly sent her henchmen to set fire to Justin Sandy's house after their break-up back in 2008. This is the same Taylor Swift who tracked down Stephen Colletti's ex-girlfriend and pushed her down the stairs after finding out she was still texting him. I'm guessing Noah Mills has a few horror stories which he would share if he wasn't on the run from his psycho fiancée."
"Ex-fiancée." Sean corrects her. "And what do you suggest? I interrogate her until she spills the truth? Besides, they're just rumours."
"Rumours are what journalists thrive upon." Karlie hisses. "And a real journalist would do some real investigating."
"What? You mean snooping?" Sean exclaims in disgust.
"Not snooping...I believe the preferred term in scooping." Karlie winks. "Now can I get you a refill or not?"
