"See you guys tomorrow!" my second period teacher said as the bell rang. "Okay let's see, where's room 302?" I asked myself while looking at my schedule. "Excuse me," someone said behind me. "Do you know where room 302 is?" She asked. "I think it's this way. I have it too. Math with Miss Evans?" I asked. "Yep. Math with Miss Evans." She replied. "Let's go find it." I said.

"Hello class! My name is Miss Evans and I am going to be your math teacher for this year." Miss Evans welcomed us. "For our first unit, we will be reviewing what you have learned from past years." "Who knows the answer for question 6?" "y=2x +4" I answered. "Great job!" "Now, does anyone know the answer for question 7?" "y=24+5x" I replied. As I answered many of the questions, I became very surprised. I'd never done that well in math. "Must be how she's teaching it." I thought to myself.

"Okay class! I will see you tomorrow! Have a great rest of the day!" Miss Evans said to us as the lunch bell rang. "Hey! Wait up! I never got your name!" someone called out to me. I turned around and saw that it was the girl who found room 302 with me. "Oh, hey! Sorry, my name is Leah. What's yours?" I asked. "My name is Victoria. But you can call me Vicky if you want." "Vicky," I said, trying it out. "Well, it's great to meet you Vicky! Would you like to have lunch with me and my friends?" I offered. "That would be great!" She exclaimed as we walked down the hallway to the cafeteria.

"Hey Juliet! Hey Sarah! This is Vicky. I asked her to sit by us today." I said to my friends. Oh hey! We know Vicky!" Juliet said. "You do?" I asked a little surprised. "Yeah!" said Sarah. "Well awesome! This is great!" I exclaimed. "I'm already off to a great start with new friends! This is definitely going to be the best year yet!" I said to myself excitedly.
