I try to save Lily.

"Maki, take care of yourself, keep on training with Senko." Lily says while struggling to breathe.

I watch as her lifeless body gets thrown off a cliff.

"Lily!" I shout, reaching out to catch her.

I keep on having the same dream for at least 2 years, it was about that day. The day that Lily was gone.

I get annoyed by the alarm clock blaring in my ear.

"Shut Up you stupid alarm clock." I say hitting it so hard that it breaks

I grab another alarm clock from the cabinet and place it where the other one was. I get dressed and eat breakfast, not that I have a variety of foods to choose from anyway, all I have is cereal and milk. Every. Single. Day. I don't know how I can still eat that.

"Bye you guys." I say waving back to the pictures of my family.

As I walk outside I see my neighbor Gina looking out her window.

"Go die you useless brat!" She throws a desk lamp at me.

I always wondered why she never liked me or my parents. She never disliked my brother or sister. I always wondered why she hated my guts the most.

"Are you ok?" I hear someone say behind me.

"Yeah, this happens every day or so." I say rubbing my head.

"Hey we're waking the same way so let's walk together." He says helping me up.

"Maki." I say introducing myself.

"Ichigo." He replies.

"Oh sorry I need to go back and lock my door." I say running back to my house.

I follow Maki back to her house, since I said that we'll walk together.

"Sorry I forgot to lock the door everyone." I overhear Maki saying.

If her parents are there, why is she worrying about forgetting to lock the door.

I peek inside and see Maki apologizing to the pictures of what I assume to be her family.

"You live by yourself, don't you." I say.

"Oh, yeah I do." She says laughing nervously.

"I'm sorry." I say awkwardly

"N-no it's fine." She laughs nervously again.

"I was my fault anyway." She says, I notice her holding in her tears.

"Why do you say that?" I ask.

"It was a hol-"  She stops herself. "Never mind."

Was she about to say hollow? Nah. She can't even see those.

As we continue to walk to school I hear a familiar voice from behind.
