The Rise of Jacksepticeye - Book 2

Chapter Seven

                                                                                      ~Jacksepticeye~

I caught up with Chara, and she turned to face me, and froze. She was looking past me, shocked. 

"Wha-" I turned, than stopped, stunned. Mark tripped and fell, crashing into Minx. She stumbled and hit KrismPro, setting off a chain reaction. They all ended up rolling down the hill. When they reached the bottom if the hill, they sat up, laughing hysterically and covered in dirt. I felt a burning sensation in my chest, and an overwhelming feeling of longing. I glanced at Chara, and she stared at them with a wistful expression on her face. When we each noticed the other looking, we immediately whipped the expression off our faces. I glanced down, my face burning. Chara wouldn't look at me either. We both acted like we didn't notice the other's expression.

I flew after the army, avoiding Chara's gaze. I couldn't help glancing back at the other YouTubers though. I wish I hadn't. They were still laughing. I turned my head, blocking them from view. The army glanced up when I hovered above them. Chara flew over to my side. I pointed at the city.

"Don't hold anything back." I said. "Destroy it." They turned and advanced towards the city obediently. We followed them. When the army reached the city, chaos broke out. Screams filled the air, and explosions and crashes echoed across the land. A huge gust of wind blew across the area, blowing my hat off my head. I flew after it, glad for the distraction. It landed on the ground, and something fell on it. When I landed, I noticed a corpse had rolled on top of it. I rolled it away with my foot, then picked up the hat. I paused a few seconds. I didn't want to go back, but Chara would come looking. I slammed the hat back on to my head, my green hair poking out from underneath. I flew up into the air, soaring across the city. A scream echoed across the city, louder then the others.

"JACK!!!!"

"Chara!" I cried out, changing direction quickly. As I skimmed over the city, I saw several of the YouTubers running through the city. I then spotted Chara, cornered by six YouTubers. She was trying to fight, but they were dodging her attacks easily. One of the YouTubers, Minx I think, was holding a blunt piece of metal, and had raised it above her head, about to swing at Chara. My eyes widened.

"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!" I yelled dive bombing towards Chara. Minx hesitated an instant. That's all I needed. I landed in front of Chara, taking the hit. Minx gasped, and dropped the metal, slowly backing away. Her hands covered her mouth.

"I...I didn't mean to...oh shit, Jack..." she spluttered. Blood dripped down my face, and I instantly felt woozy. Chara screamed and grabbed for me, but stumbled and fell, rolling several feet away from me. I fell to my knees, my vision flickering. I couldn't make out anything else around me. All sounds faded, and everything turned black.

I backed up slowly, several feet behind Minx. Jack collapsed to the ground, blood pooling around his head. The rest of the YouTubers came running, but froze the second they saw the scene, backing away slowly. Chara scrambled to her feet, and ran to Jacks side, stumbling several times. Her appearance flickered, changing between herself and another, more normal looking child. Her appearance finally settled in the other girls form.

"JACK!" she screamed, rolling him over. She whipped the blood of of his face, and her eyes filled with tears.

"Jack, please wake up..." she burst into tears, hugging Jack tightly. I stared, silently. Chara was sobbing, holding onto Jack's sweatshirt in a death grip. Sometimes you didn't remember she was ten.

Minx still had her hands over her mouth, staring in shock.

"I..I didn't...no, I.." she stuttered. Her eyes filled with tears. "Fuck, I..." KrismPro came up behind her, hugging her gently.

Sans, Ihascupquake, and Matthias came up behind us. Sans stared at transformed Chara.

"F...Frisk?!" he gasped. Frisk/Chara looked up, her face covered in tears. Sans tried to hug her, but she shoved him away. 

"STAY AWAY!" she screamed. "ALL OF YOU! FIRST MY PARENTS WERE KILLED, AND NOW THE ONLY OTHER PERSON I CARED ABOUT IS-" her voice broke and she started sobbing again. Sans stood there, staring at her.

"Frisk, I..." He said, but Frisk/Chara glared at him. 

"Save it." she snapped. She turned back to Jack, who was still bleeding. She whipped the blood away with her sleeve.

"Fuck it." she said. She held out her hand, and words appeared.

Chara reached out for the yes option, but a hand grabbed her wrist and stopped her. She looked down surprised.

"Jack?" she said.

Jack pressed her hand against the no option.

"But..but..you're gonna die..." Chara whimpered.

"Yeah, but if you reload your save, you will die. And you're wrong Chara." Jack said gently.

"Wh..what?" she sniffled.

"Your parents aren't dead." Jack pointed to a nearby building. Chara turned and gasped. A man and a woman stood next to a building, tears in their eyes. If anything, Chara sobbed harder.
