Holly's POV
I ran through a group of goblins, hearing complaints from every single one.
You'd think being promoted to Major would get you get at least some respect. Nope, you get to even more of a target now. I just hope I don't get yelled at today as well.
I silently run past his office. "Major Short! Just because you're late doesn't mean you can ignore me!" Commander Kelp growled, his voice stopping me dead in my tracks. "Hey, Holly, stop being so serious! I'm kidding. Your early. I'll get my boys this time."
I smiled. "Thanks Commander." His gaze turned stone cold. "Don't call me that, call me Trouble." I nodded. "Okay, then." He grinned. "There's another Major that wanted to give you his job, go see him there, okay?"
I ran to the restaurant Trouble's paper said. I looked around. Please don't tell me this is another joke, I thought. Then I saw an out of breath elf coming my way. "Hey.... Miss Short. I need..... Some help!"
I smiled."What do you need help with?"
He caught his breath. Finally. "There's a dimensional portal by Fowl Manor."
I stared at him. "Dimensional portal?"
He nodded. "And a huge rose bush is invisible, but there's sparkly dust nearby."

Artemis's POV

I opened one of my documents. Blank. I opened another one. Blank. Did I accidentally clean my computer? Why am I worrying about this? Holly's coming soon!
I turned around to see Butler watching me. "Something wrong?" He shook his head. "She's examining the portal." I was confused. "How long was I in here?" Butler looked at a clock. "Around an hour searching through the documents I cleared for you." I felt my cheeks get hot and my palms sweaty. "You cleared my documents, Butler?" He didn't answer, just turned around and walked out.
I followed until I went to the back door. When I opened it I saw a shimmery figure. I saw that way too much to not know who it is.
