Dreams are always meant to be followed but mine was different. My dream was to go into the United States Army. My name, is Nicolas Jameson. One snowy day a few years back, me and my wife, Mary, were sitting inside by the fireplace playing board games with our kids. The home was warm from the concrete floor all the way up to the wooden ceiling. From the home phone I heard a quiet ringing. I stood up and kissed Mary on the head and said I would be right back. I picked up the phone as I heard "Mr.Jameson, you are being deployed to Iraq for six months to a year. Pack up and let your wife and kids know." I said, "Yes sir I will be there as soon as I can and I will let my wife and kids know." I ask my wife if I could talk to her in the kitchen alone, so we went in the kitchen and I told her what was going on. She started crying, telling me that she doesn't want me to go but I told her that everything will be ok she asked me how everything was going to be ok without me being there. I told I will be home before you know it. I asked my wife how should I tell the kids and she told me just to tell them the truth. I said ok I will do it I also told her that it would hurt me more than it would hurt them, but I told them anyway. It was the hardest thing to do, but I did do it. I kissed my wife and kids and told them that I love them very much and I told them that I would call when I made it to the airport.
I finally got to the airport around 15:00 the next day. All of my brothers were there and ready to go but, we still had to get on the plane and get to the base so our platoon leader could brief us on what was going on. Well we finally got on the plane I called my wife to let her know that I made it safely to the airport and that I am about to leave the airport to the base. I asked my wife" how are the kids" she said that they missed me already and that they love me. We just left the airport and we all took naps while we were flying.
