Pieces Of Time (DISCONTINUED)

Prologue: The Last Mission

The year is 20XX, around the world the crime has raised in the past years because of this so called "monster". The government thought it would be best if they train kids to be assassins or test on, to kill these "monster".

A girl named Hoshi is on her mission hunting down one of these "monster" by the named of praying mantis. Hoshi works for one of the first organizations build in Japan called C.N.K., which stands for capture and kill.

By now Hoshi already found praying mantis. She was sitting at the edge of a building waiting for the perfect moment to strike, because there was one problem.

"Hurry! Run Kumiko before she kills us both!" Yelled a girl running with her friend following right behind her

"I'm running as fast as I can Momoka!" Yelled back Kumiko who running out breath. They were in a alleyway, which happened to have a lot rock, glass, and trash.

As they continued to run, Kumiko trip on a rock falling down with praying mantis right behind her. Kumiko hurt her ankle so turned her body around to make sure it wasn't broken, unfortunately there was glass shard in her ankle and she pulled out, soon a long shadow cast over her. Kumiko was now shaking, she brought her head up slowly with tears forming in her eyes as praying mantis was now standing in front of her. She was so sacred she didn't move a muscle and was there sitting staring into praying mantis four eyes who now had her arm raised up in the air ready to attack her.

I'm going to die here, oh god I'm going to die. Kumiko thought to herself with tears streaming down her face.

"Kumiko, look out!" Momoka shrieked as she ran to her. Praying mantis attacked her, Kumiko brought her arms up block her face. "NO!" Momoka cried, she jumped in front of Kumiko and took the blow. Kumiko was not really hurt by praying mantis attack, she had a cut right on her left cheek, but for Momoka she felt her left arm being chopped off. She screamed in pain as blood poured out of where her arm used to be.

Hoshi was rather surprised that Momoka was able to take a blow like that and still be alive, but something shocked Hoshi more then Momoka being still alive and might make her fail this mission.

Kumiko opened her eyes to see Momoka in front of her with no left arm with a lot of blood pouring out into a pool of it on the ground. Kumiko was shocked at first, but then the rage took over. "You bitch!" Hissed Kumiko, there one last thing I forgot to mention not only is there "monsters" in the world now, but people, more less just kids with these symbols that let them control one or two elements. For Kumiko she has the symbol of wind. She used a gust of wind and pushed praying mantis back so that they can have a chance to escape.

"I got you," Kumiko whispered catching Momoka before she could hit the ground. Kumiko put Momoka's right arm on her shoulder and pull her away from praying mantis even though Kumiko ankle was bleeding pretty bad she managed to get far from praying mantis. That was until they met a dead end. "No why now!" Kumiko cried with more tears streaming down her face.

Kumiko saw a door, so she set down Momoka and went to go see if it was opened. It was locked, "Why do you have to do this to me!" She barked as she banging on the door with tears flowing down her face.

"K-Kumiko" a weak voice said, it was Momoka's voice.

"Momoka!" Yelled Kumiko running to see if she was still alive at this point.

Hoshi was still sitting on the building watching with disgust. She then heard a buzzing in her ear, it was earpiece she answered the call, it was her commander, 'Hoshi why haven't you killed praying mantis yet!' her commander barked at her through the earpiece.
