It was just like any normal day in Meghan's life. She was walking home from school on a rainy Monday afternoon. Meghan's life has been one steady rollercoaster of constant downward spirals. It has all started when her father was brutally murdered by a gang member while walking to his car. After the incident Meghan's mother Patricia quit her job and started drugs and alcohol. So Meghan had to go to work to try and pay off the rental debt. But since school has started back up, she had lost her job and now lives in a homeless shelter as her mother pays 2 years in prison. While walking back home, she heard some rustling in the bushes off the side of the quiet dirt road. Curious, she went over to see what was rustling in the bush. Walking up she heard a bicycle bell ring, and looked to see the bicycle when she turned around the most unbelievable things was floating in front of Meghan's face. Surprised to what it was she stood still trying to comprehend the floating metal ball. Realizing that it was not her imagination, she poked the ball to where it fell to the ground. Wanting to get home and continue seeing what the thing is, Meghan picked up the metal ball and continued on her way to the homeless shelter.

At home, Meghan reached into her bag she was carrying and took out the ball. Holding it she could have sworn she felt something rattle inside. Having this feeling, made Meghan even more curious about the object she found. Wanting to see what is inside; she started looking to see how to open it. After trying to open it with her hands, Meghan sat the ball on the table in front of her and started looking for a tool to open it. Coming back to the table, there was no ball on the table but in the hands of a boy.

"Hey! Who are you?" Meghan yelled. Looking up to Meghan the boy blinked and never said a word. Walking away with the ball, Meghan grabbed his shirt to stop him to which he just continued on walking towards a wall. Trying to stop him from hitting his head Meghan pulled hard and closed her eyes. Reopening her eyes, Meghan saw that she was no longer in her apartment back at the homeless shelter. Looking around to see where she was, she had lost the boy with the metal ball she had found. Seeing how big the place is, she knew looking for one boy here would be too difficult. Looking at where she came in from she noticed that she was not on Earth anymore. Realizing this is the only time she'll have actual proof of aliens instead of just stories of encounters. She took out her phone and started taking pictures of the ship she was in.

Walking around with her camera phone in front of her face, Meghan saw where boy who took her, when she let go of him. Continuing to take pictures Meghan followed the boy from afar. Walking into a room, Meghan ducked behind a portable shelving unit and looked to see what the boy was doing. Watching the boy set the metal ball in a crate, she watched as the boy stopped in front of a huge machine.

"Cyborg," Meghan whispered to herself as she watched the machine take the boy apart. After the machine stopped Meghan decided to get what she came there to do; and now having the boy out of the way she can get it easily. Standing up, Meghan ran into a different boy standing next to her.

"Who are you, how did you get onto my ship?!" The boy commanded angrily grabbing her arm and pulling her out from behind the shelves.

Getting out of the boy's grasp, Meghan answered "I wanted to get my ball back. Something took it and so I followed it here by accident!"

"So you are an Earthling?" responded the boy

"Well duh! What are you an Alien?!" Meghan said snootily.

"Maybe to you, But to me I'm a Tauchaviak. Now that we have established that I am the higher being, you must obey, and get off!" the boy said grabbing Meghan's arm and pulling her to where she started from.

"Excuse me!" Meghan said, again escaping from the boy's grasp. "Who are you in thinking that ... whatever you are a higher being than humans?!"

"You humans are just mutated apes! The Tauchaviak are not mutated at all from any other species. Therefore we are more intelligent than you humans," Snapped the boy. "Now if you don't want me to scorch your puny little planet, get off my ship now!"
