Trickster. Deceiver. Fraud. Con.
The words run through Charlotte's mind, demanding to be heard. It wasn't really my fault. Charlotte rationalized. It was Zane who had planned the whole thing, she never would have even gotten involved with the whole incident if it wasn't for Zane.
Zane.
What was she going to do about him. He had flattered her into joining his little cult then stabbed her in the back the minute she was of no use to him. She wanted him to pay for letting her get stuck in here. Why hadn't he gotten sent to an obscure out of state children's correctional camp anyways? Stupid. Stupid Stupid. Charlotte thought angrily. Being part of the New Order's Society kinda sucks. She knew that once the Order had made up their minds about an unruly child, nothing would sway them. If a child was defiant enough not to appreciate the orderly academies The Order set up for them, then they didn't deserve to be there. Charlotte peered at them from behind a broken brick wall from the olden days. Barely anything had been left of the old architecture from the days before the war, barely anything had survived. These days everything was made up of high tech glass and screens. Everything was exposed, nothing to hide in this new perfect world. Perfect. Perfect how? Charlotte thought venemously. She depised the New Order with all her being,
It was the New Order that had seperated her from her parents and sent her to those stupid acadamies. She didn't like them. Kids were eaither stuck up and mean or broken and depressed. Charlotte had no place there. So she ran away. All she had wanted was to find her parents and instead had stumbled upon this raggedy group of kids running though the streets like mad men.
Zane was the first person to spot her peering at them behind her brick wall. Always the charmer, Zane had approached Charlotte with his usual swagger and confidence. Charlotte had been
