-Katrin's POV-

The moment I say this, his posture sinks. I refuse to be kept here when I am needed somewhere else.

"I guess I can't," he says, taking off his mask. His eyes tearfilled, but none fell. "Please stay."

My hard gaze softens slightly. "I can't. You know Kyren needs me. I can't leave her," I say, gently, as if I'm talking to Kyren when she's sad.

He sighs sadly. "At least let me help you," he begs. I make the mistake of looking into his pouty eyes that are way to familiar.

"Gah! Fine! Fine! Whatever," I groan and sink back under the console. I begin tinkering. "Yo! Hand me the wire cutters, will ya?" A I ask, holding my hand out.

He chickles, lowly and I feel something press into my hand. I strip the wire I needed to and wrap the metal part to that of another wire. It sparks slightly, singeing my fingers slightly.

"You ok down there?" He mocks. I kick his leg lightly causing him to laugh.

To be perfectly honest, its kinda nice to hear his laugh again. Not him growling and yelling at everybody.

My thoughts are cut off when I feel and hear my stomach growl. I stop what I'm doing and scoot out a little bit. "Uuuuummmm. Kylo? Can you please go grab me some food? I was just reminded I haven't had any in a while," I explain, awkwardly.

He laughs loudly and grabs his helmet, mask, thing. "Ok. I'll be right back," he says smiling. I scoot back under the console as I hear the gentle patter of his retreating footsteps.

"Thank you!" I call after him. I hear a soft 'yep' as the blast doors close behind him.

Sighing, I continue working on the console as I wait for him to return. And after a few minutes of zaps and sparks, he comes back with a tray of not really appetizing soup with bread.

I feel a gentle kick to my foot. "Hey, I got your food," his distorted voice says.

I scoot out from under the console and accept the tray. "Thank you, Kylo," I say and start eating.

"Your welcome, Katrin," he says, taking his stupid helmet thing off. "How's it coming along?"

"Meh. I'm really glad Han taught me how to repair ships. Even though he was teaching me the Falcon," I say with a mouth full of food.

"Yeah. I guess we're lucky he did, huh?" He says, not really convinced.

I swallow before speaking. "Yep. Especially since it would've taken your boys, like, what? 2 maybe 3 days. I had to completely re-organize and rearrange everything they had done. Otherwise something would've gone really wrong."

"Yes. Well, you could be one of our technicians-"

"We've had this conversation, Kylo. I'm not joining you. I will not have anymore unnecessary blood on my hands. I will not be persuaded by the Dark Side. I walk the line between, unweing. I'd like to stay neutral in this matter," I say, flatly. I sip my bland soup. He sighs heavily.

"Can't blame a guy for trying," he shrugs as I down the rest of my soup.

I munch on the bread in silence. When I'm done, I lay on my back and scoot under the console once more. "Hey, hand me one of those power couplings."

He puts the circular object into my open hand. I put it in its place.

"I need a wrench, please," I ask.

"This one?" He asks, handing it to me. I look at it for a moment and shake my head. He then hands me the proper one.

"Thanks." I hold the coupling in it's spot as I tighten it there. I scoot out. "There. I think that should do it. Wanna take it for a test drive?"

He nods, making his black hair bounce a little. "Yes. I'll be right back. I'm going to tell the bridge to make a jump for hyperspace," he replies, grabbing his helmet and walking out.

I sigh and slip my shirt back on even though I'm really, really hot. I move to a cool spot on the floor and lay down in the hopes it would help in cooling down my warm body. My eyelids become increasingly heavy as a wave of exhaustion washes over me.

A little nap won't hurt.

I close my eyes and let sleep take me.
