Dark Night SS#1

The air ran chilly, icy, as it blew around Kya. She wrapped her sweater around herself tighter. The full moon shone down on her with a pure radiant light. The light made her blond hair look ghostly white.
A distant howling could be heard from the forest around her. She shivered.
Badump badump badump. Kya stopped and looked around. It sounded as though a large animal was racing through the trees. After a moment of quiet she just told herself she imagined it.
She had had a very awful day, she had walked into WestSide high in a relatively good mood. But that all changed when she walked into first period Algebra. Kazzie, the most popular girl had laughed at her when she stumbled on her way to her seat. "No wonder they watch her all the time. I mean honestly we should just wrap her up in bubble wrap. She's a danger to herself and ugly to top it off"
Kya lowered her eyes to the desk and felt her cheeks get warm. She didn't look up until Mr. Wharmen came in to announce the start of class.

The rest of the day had gone by without incident. Until after school. Kya was at her locker grabbing her backpack and trying to balance her binder on her arm while she grabbed her phone. Kazzie and her foul groupies shoved into her and knocked her to the ground, along with all of her stuff. "Oops" Kazzie said sarcastically. "Maybe you should wear a sign on your forehead . People might actually notice you then." Then she took off laughing and flipping her hair. Kya shoved everything into her backpack and ran out the main doors, not caring if she bumped into people. Tears streaming down her face.
She ran for awhile until she didn't recognize where she was. And that's was how she ended up by the forest. By the looks of the dark sky and moon it was very late.
Kya pulled out her phone hoping to have at least one bar of service. Nothing. Of course. She thought. Then she heard the noise again. Closer this time. She looked around, clicked on her flashlight on her phone and shone it around her. She could make out glowing eyes in the distance. Her voice shook as she said "who's there?" . No answer.
Thump Thump Thump. whatever it was, it sounded rather large, was charging at her. Kya tried to run but wasn't fast enough to outrun the creature. It crashed into her with such a force it knocked her flat on her back with the wind knocked out of her.
She gasped in air as fast as she could. Then it landed on her. Pinning her to the ground. Then it struck her. It's teeth met her shoulder. She screamed as the skin broke and blood spurted out. Her sweater turned from blue to a dark purple-red. As fast as it came it was gone. She glanced up and saw enough of the creature before she lost consciousness.
It was a wolf
