The other Mudblood

“Ronnie! Honey, you’ve got a letter!” screamed mom from the kitchen. I run down stairs. That was really strange, I never have letters…

I went to the kitchen and there was mom with a weird letter in her hands. She gave it to me and I opened it.

It said:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Headmaster:

Albus Dumbledore

(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc, Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms. James,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Deputy Headmistress.

“What is Hogwarts, mom?” I said confused

“Honey, we need to talk about our family…” she said, then took my hand and walked me to the couch.

“You don’t know a part of the story of your father’s life… All on his family are wizards, your dad worked on the Ministry of Magic and they sent your father to take a look to the Hogwarts students at this muggle world and he went to store and then we met… Well you know that story…” she said.

What? My dad is a wizard? Since when? And what the bloody hell is a muggle world?

“Sorry mom, but what? Dad is a wizard? What is a muggle world? And the Ministry of Magic?” I said confused

“Well…” she continued “Yes, your dad is a wizard… A muggle world is the world of non-magical people… And the Ministry of Magic is like the Ministry here in London, but of the Magic world… And Ronnie, you are magical and Hogwarts, the best school of magic sent you the letter to go there! And, darling, you can’t say no… it’s a unique school, that’s where your father learned to be a fantastic wizard…” she said very excited.

Wow, I’m a witch… Who would imagine that? Well I guess my parents did…

“So Kimberly, David, Andrew and Kimmi are wizards too?” I said

“Yes, the owls are not just an originality symbol…” she said laughing. I smiled to her…

This never was a normal family, but now it’s out of the levels of crazy, this is just magical…

A week later, my dad told me to get ready to go shopping the things that I’ll need to go to Hogwarts.

“And we’ll get all of these things in London?” I asked watching the list.

“Well, if you know where to go…” he said.

We went to a café, dad introduced me to the owner of it, and he was nice…

Finally we went somewhere I couldn’t recognize, there were a lot of people and I was tiny… and then there was a BIG wall of bricks. Dad touched a brick with his wand. The brick she touched quivered –wriggled- in the middle, and then, a small hole appeared, it grew wider and wider, a second later they were facing an arch way on to a cobbled street which twisted and turned out of sight…
