Madeline POV :||

We live not to from the college, about a ten minute walk or so. Exams were the last thing I wanted to do today. Alice and I started our way down the sidewalk, it was a warm spring day which made walking much easier to bare.

"How do you think you'll do on the exams?" Alice asked, looking at me with her big innocent eyes

"Not sure, they shouldn't be that hard. It's only on music theory," I shrugged

"Did you study?"

"Why would I need to study, I got everything I need up here," I smiled tapping me head.

When we reached the campus, we both went our separate ways to our different classes. I had some time before my first class started, so I decided to walk around the campus to busy myself. It was a musical place, along with a very artistic place. People were always singing and dancing, sketching in books, painting, practicing lines, whatever you could think that goes with the topic 'The Arts.'

I sauntered near a group of people siting by one of the big oak trees, a guy, looking no older then myself, sat with his back against the oak singing while he played the guitar. People around him either sang along or just watched. I sat at one of the picnic tables and watched from afar, he had a beautiful voice. We made eye contact a few times, he even winked once. He had sharp blue eyes, a charming smile, and his chestnut hair was done so perfectly on his head.

After people began to leave for their classes, he sat alone strumming to himself under the tree. Wouldn't hurt to talk to him, wasn't like I would be meeting anyone important soon anyways. I got up from my seat, smiling to myself as he stopped strumming even before I made my way over.

"I was hoping you'd show up," He spoke, looking up at me and smiling warmly

"Why's that?"

"It's better then staring at me," He shrugged with a chuckle before turning back to his guitar

"I wasn't staring, I was admiring,"

"Funny. I'm Norman," He said as I took a seat next to him on the grass

"Madeline," I smiled back at him, catching a shy glimpse as his ocean blue eyes.

We talked for a while, I showed him a few songs I knew on guitar and he did too. Before I left for my exams he told me to meet up with him again soon. I knew it could be anything from a friendship to maybe something more, but I shoved him off my thoughts. I had to remember more important things, this exam was my most essential priority right now.

A/N
I was imagining Freddie Highmore when I wrote up Norman, if you understand why I named him Norman then ily. He's gonna be a bit of a conflict character, maybe a lil bit of a love triangle is in story? Who knows?
