SHATTERED

Chapter I

Chaos POV

I was sleeping in my favorite tree, when I was suddenly awakened by the sound of childish voices. "Thank God they woke me up" I said out of breath from being so scared. I didn't see the people, but I could smell and hear them clearly.

They came close enough that I could see them, but they didn't notice me. I growled at them, thinking they would run away scared, but to my surprise, they kept walking closer, completely oblivious to my presence. Tsunami was at the base of the tree, sitting upright and alert. I could tell that he noticed the young kids too.

As they got closer, I could see that they were boys, around twelve-ish. The taller, younger-looking one had black spiky hair and green explorer-like clothes. The other, slightly shorter, had white fluffy hair, and a white shirt and dark blue cargo shorts.

Tsunami noticed they also had a wolf with them. He stood up, showing his large dark grey body, started whining and prancing in place, tail wagging vigorously with excitement.

I jumped out of the tree and landed next to Tsunami and eyed the two boys, who were startled by me. One of the boys walked up to me "Hi! I'm Gon, and this is Killua, what's your name?" said the black haired one happily. "My name is Chaos, what's your wolfs' name?" I replied. Killua answered "His name is Moonblood, we found him when we were walking through the woods. What's yours' named?" "His name is Tsunami; I've had him since he was a pup. Also, what are you guys doing wandering in the woods all alone?" I asked suspiciously. Killua crossed his arms. "We are looking for a person who we think has a connection to the murders that have been happening around this area." "Murders?" I asked confused. Killua sighed, getting a little annoyed "It has been happening for a month now how do you not know about this?!" "Killua don't be mean!" Gon yelled.

"Tch, whatever." Killua rolled his eyes. "Well anyway the killings involve a boy that has ten red weird tentacles sticking from his lower back and weird eyes, he has been last spotted going in these woods and hasn't been seen since" Killua explained. "Do you know how he kills?" I questioned. "Reports say he kills by eating the victims flesh, he's called the Nightstalker" Gon says getting goosebumps.

I got a sudden flashback of when I was little. All these things they're saying reminds me of Locknet, and how father beat us. But that was then, it's all over now.

"Um Chaos? Hello!!! Earth to Chaos!" I jumped almost hitting Killua in the jaw. "Crap sorry Killua! I was... just thinking" I lowered my voice "Okay? Well-" "Hey Chaos want to come with us to catch the killer?!" Gon interrupted Killua. "Um, maybe another time..." Gon frowned, pooched his lip and had the cutest sad eyes ever and said " PWEEEEEEEESE!!!!!!!" "Ugh fine!!!" Gon's expression turned to his normal happy one. "YAAAAY" Gon yelled at the top of his lungs. "Gon be quiet! Dang, you're so loud!" Killua snapped "Killua how about you stop being a flacking duck sucker!!!!!" I shout at him. He gave me an 'I kinda like this girl but she's so annoying' face

In the distance a hooded figure watched the three. It smirked 'They would be a fine meal indeed'. The figure licked its lips.
