The Eighth Dragon Slayer

Chapter 12

           I woke up in my hotel bed, freaking out over my dream. I looked around my room and wondering if that could've actually happened. No! It could've been just a nightmare. Nightmares are just there to frighten you. I got out of bed and did my usual ruiten. Then I was off to the grand magic game's arena. Everyone was excites for the second say. I don't blame them, yesterday was really interesting. I couldn't get over it last night.

           "Hey Fairy Tail girl!" Some yelled trying to get my attention. I look behind me and saw the dragon slayers of Sabortooth.

           "Hi...." I said wondering why they want to talk to me. I still get this pang of guilt whenever I see Ryos, maybe I should call him Rogue now.

            "When do you think Natsu and Gajeel will play in the games?" The blonde haired one asked.

            "How should I know. How am I go into know when I'm not the announcer of the games, Sabortooth guy." I said doing what he did to me.

            "Okay, well thanks anyway.... Cordelia is it?"

           "Yup," I said walking off without even getting his name. I kind of don't want to know yet, because he seems like the sort of jerk type. Not just because he's a part of the Sabortooth guild.

              Rogue just stood there the whole time the guy and I were talking. Honestly I should learn names, I'm going to be confused later on. Ryos sure has changed since the last time I saw him. I hope he talks to me soon, I guess I really want to talk with him after so long. Okay, maybe I'm over thinking this. I shouldn't be concerned with other guilds while the grand magic games are still going. I entered the bar and was welcomed with the sent of booze in the air.

             "Hey Elia!" Natsu exclaimed. They were sitting at the booth just being themselves I guess.

             "So I have a new nickname?" I said smiling. For some reason it hurt to smile. Maybe I slept on that side wrong.

               "Yeah... What happened to your cheek?" asked Natsu.

                "What do you mean?" I gave Natsu a questioning look.

                 "You have a bruise on the side of your face." Grays said looking at my cheek, checking how bad it was.

                 "Ow! Hands off my face!" I said. Gray accidentally had touched my bruise. Now I feel bad for snapping at him. "Sorry. I probably slept on that side wrong." Everyone seemed like they didn't believe it. Natsu probably thought that someone had beat me up, because he had his whole " I'm all fired up" face on.

                 "Anyways good luck at the games today!" I aid briushimg off the subject like we weren't even taking about what happened to me. I gave them tow thumbs up and walked away to the arena. Everyone had arrived to the grand magic games. As usual the games did the same ruiten like yesterday. But different challenges. Natsu and Gajeel went today for round one. And guess who went for sabortooth. The blonde haired guy who I was talking to earlier. This round though got the best of them. Stupid moving vehicle things. Once it came to a close, for the challenge Natsu and Gajeel beat Sting.

                The battles had finally started. I didn't really pay any attention to the battles. Though I did get interested in Elfmans battle. He was battling the drunk guy from Quattro Cerberus. I guess being drunk gives him his power. Why do all the guys from that guild have weird powers. I couldn't stop laughing. People had been giving me the "what the f**k is she laughing about face" look. Elfman and the quatro Cerberus guy struck a deal with one another. If Elfman won the guys guild had to be called Quattro Puppy. I didn't hear the drunk guys deal. Near the end of the battle, Elfman was badly cut up. But he had won the battle. Elfman was taken back to where Porlyusika was. Natsu was there too. The rest of the day was a blur. All I could think about was what happened last night. I mean did that dream really happen. Was that how I got my bruise?

                 After G.M.G. day 2 I went with the other to check on Wendy, Carla, natsu and Elfman. I found out Wendy and Carla had been attacked by Raven Tail. Who would've guessed. Porlyusika helped with my random bruise on my cheek. She asked what had happened and I just shrugged my shoulders. "I think I slept on that side wrong." I said after.

                "I don't think sleep would do this. Did you get into a fight or something?" She asked.

                "No." I said. It was half a lie because I still had my suspicions about what had happened. I'm thinking now that dream was not a dream at all. Then again how did I get back to my room? Great now I want answers. Porlyusika was done with taking care of my bruise. Getting up from where I was sitting and left the room. I decide to go back to where my dream took place. A lot of people were in that area now. I looked around the area and found nothing. This got me frustrated. I sat down in the curb and place my head into my hands. Great now what?

                "Cordelia!" I heard my name being called out. I looked up to see the Sabortooth guys again.

                "Now what?" I said rather rudely because of frustration.

                "Geez what's your problem?" Sting said. As usual rogue stayed out of the conversation.

                "Sorry I'm frustrated." I said apologetically. Sting sat next to me. Rogue continued to stand. "Why have you been talking to me lately?"

                 "Well you did burst out and yelled at Lector." He painted at his exceed. "But even though we are rivals at the moment. You're fun to talk to."

                  "Thanks I guess." I said half grinning because the other side still hurt.

                  "So why are you so frustrated?" He asked, pestering me even more.

                  "Well I got this random bruise," From the side of my eye I could see Ryos stiffen, "I don't know how I got it. But I think it had to so with this one 'dream'. Because in the 'dream' I got attacked. Don't know who did it. Plus I remember the attack being in this spot." I said leaving out the whole guy protecting me thing. I just thought it was one of my friends. Because who else knows where I'm living for now.

                  "Maybe you just reacted to the dream and punched yourself in the face." Rogue finally said. I started to laugh.

                  "That's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. But good idea." I said in between breathes. It hurt every time I laughed though. I swear I saw his lip twitch, probably about to laugh or smile. But iphe held it back.

                  We talked the rest of that time until it got dark. Rogue actually talked a lot more after what he said the first time. It was nice talking to them. Especiay how I could catch up with Rogue. I felt a lot more complete when talking to him. Like I got one of my old friends back. I didn't want to stop talking to Sting and Rogue, but it did have to come to an end. It felt weird walking back to the hotel alone. I don't want to go to the bar tonight. I just want to go back to my room. The whole time walking back, it felt like someone was following me. I could be paranoid at the moment though.

                  I arrived back at the hotel room and there were no signs of attacker's. I couldn't help but remember what Rogue said earlier today. I laughed a little, you don't know how nice it was talking to him. Maybe we could be friends once again. I mean if it's still a possibility. Maybe.
