Chapter 6: The Date
Henry and I sit akwardly in the car while his mom drives us to the ice rink. As soon as we get there Henry jumps out, runs to my door and opens it. I look at his mom and she smiles. "Wow, this guy is ammmaaaazzziinng!!" I think to myself. I get out and we enter the ice rink. We put on our skates and go out onto the ice. He glides like an angel across the ice, while I am falling on my butt. He comes over and grabs my arm and helps me up. He stands behind me and holds my sides, he helps keep me steady and not slip. I blush at this, "It's just like in the movies." I think to myself. As soon as I have my balance good he lets go and I glide....then fall. I sit there laughing as Henry comes over, then sits next to me. We sit there talking for a while and then he asks, "You hungry?" "Starving!" I reply. We went to the concession stand and he bought me a hot dog. "Thanks" I say as I'm blushing like crazy. We sit on a bench and watch other people skate. "I had so much fun today." I say. "Me too!" He replied. "We totally need to hang out again!" He says. "I would love that." I said. Just then his phone went off, "It's my mom, she's outside in the car." He said. "Okay let's go, and thank you again, this was really fun." I replied. We walked to his car, and he opened my door again. We got in the car and his mom dropped me off. "Thank you for driving us!" I said to his mom as I opened my front door. "Dad I'm home!" I yelled after I closed the door.
