~a month later~

Z: *I’m still stuck in this village with the only luck of finding out the man’s name, Shion. I’m beyond frustrated at this point and I’m about ready to give up, but I still keep searching*

S: *We dock at Tortuga, I jump from the boat, Erica waving from the deck, I smile and flip my cloak hood up over my head hiding my hair and eyes. I was known in these parts, I walk into the square where people lined up their stands for food and useless crap*

Z: *I see a scrawny, literally skin-and-bones, child sitting with his knees to his chest. I feel slightly bad for him and reach over to a stand selling apples and grab one polishing it with my sleeve and hand it to the boy* Here, eat this *I say warmly, the boy grins and thanks me about a thousand times. I’m just about to walk away when someone with strong hands grabs my wrist stopping me*

S: Can you pay for the apple!? *he asks angrily, I look over at the sight rolling my eyes and starting to walk away hearing a stubborn response* No, I was just giving the kid an apple *the clerk yells* Thief, you shall be punished, the price shall be your hair

Z: *I try to pull my arm away but his grip is too strong, my eyes are wide with fear and I stammer* T-that shouldn’t be necessary! It’s not a big deal, it’s just an apple and that kid was starving

S: *I turn my head when I hear the clerk yell again, my eyes dart to the girl’s hair. I hide my shock but blonde hair, it was very rare to find, especially in Tortuga. I calmly walk up to the scene gently taking the girls wrist out of the clerk’s grasp, putting her face in my chest. I hand him a shingle* Here this should be enough to forget this ever happened *he eyed the shingle before angrily walking off*

Z: *I gently lift my face off the man’s chest looking up at him, his eyes were as blue as the ocean and I could have sworn I knew him from somewhere, I shook that thought away and backed up a little* Thanks *I say quietly*

S: *I smile warmly, a true smile that I don’t give to any of my clients and I nod* Your welcome, you owe me *I put my face in your neck before continuing* Try not to be so careless again *and with that I pulled away disappearing into the crowd*

Z: *I feel my face burning and I say* If I ever find you again… *even though I knew you wouldn’t hear*

~~three weeks later~~

S: * I crouch in my tree looking down at the ponds reflection on the trunk*

Z: *I lean over the edge of the ship, I was heading to the island where my next assignment was supposedly located, Ocean-Bound. I finally found out more information about him and I was hoping to get this done as soon as possible*

S: *I hear Hannah squeal and I lean back far enough to look at her upside down. I put on a fake smile* Hey handsome *she chirps happily sitting on my bed, I get up* Hi beautiful *I say leaning down to kiss the nape of her neck*

Z: *we finally reach shore and I hop off the boat glad to finally be on land, I twirl my sword on the sand and drag it behind me going into the thick forest*

S: *I hear shouts from my me I quickly get up, Hannah whining from the loss of contact. I look towards the shore seeing navy boat. I quickly get changed telling Hannah to run to the mountain with the others. I grab my sword climbing down preparing the men for battle*

Z: *I hear the shouts of men and I lean against a tree drawing my sword close to me, I keep walking further slowly and hiding again after hearing the men closer*
